“Consistently good”
Reviewed November 18, 2007

We have stayed at this property several times during the past few years and have found it to be consistently good. Front desk staff are welcoming and helpful, rooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the beds comfortable.

Breakfasts have always been good, with a wide choice for all tastes, but have been further improved with the provision of a greater number of hot items and more fruit on offer. The ladies who supervise the breakfast are invaribly friendly and cheerful.

Another welcome addition is the free terminal in the lobby for guests' use.

The Inn is perfectly situated along the Scottsdale Road with several restaurants and a variety of shops within easy walking distance.

I just came back from 5 days at the Residence Inn. The breakfasts were great. The rooms clean and roomy. The microwave welcome popcorn was great. The meet and greet each week night was great as well. I went on a tour to the Grand Canyon with Detours. We had 9 people in our van. They picked me up at the hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at this property twice in the last three weeks for four or five days each time while we were visiting her mother at the mayo Clinic Hospital. We found the property to be very confortable and relaxing. The staff, especially the lady who is the general manager, were extremely professional and helpful. Even though the property was at full occupancy, the manager was able to accomodate us when we needed to extend our stay, and did so without gouging us on the price. We love this property. It is one of the old style Residence Inns that looks and feels more like an apartment. It was recently refurbished and everything is very nice. I highly recommend it!

We stayed here 1 nite and appreciated how large the rm was. After a long day of travel, social hr w/cocktails and snacks was nice too. The next am it was a very complete hot breakfast included and free internet in the lobby--a great value.

We have stayed at a variety of different Marriott properties in different parts of the United States and have always been satisfied with our accomodations. However, when we checked into the Residence Inn here it was a huge disappointment. It looked as if nothing had been updated in at least 15 years. It gave the room the feel of being dirty, and we weren't even comfortable staying as we had planned. Fortunately, we found another Marriott facility further north and were able to switch our reservation since they weren't busy. In addition the front desk manager was not very friendly, helpful,or understanding. I would definitely stay away from this facility until it is updated and stronger emphasis is placed on customer service and attitude at the front desk.

  • Liked — Did not stay long enough for any strong points
  • Disliked — Lack of upkeep to the room - location off main walkway

In a town full of wonderful hotels this one left something to be desired. My husband and I stayed there one night as a part of our vacation and we couldn't wait to get out. The whole room was just dingy, the kitchen appliances were old and beat up. The pool is positioned so that it can only recieve about 3 hours of direct sunlight a day! I might recommend this location for a budget minded business trip or a family looking for a deal.

I've stayed at this hotel several times before and can't recommend it highly enough. The spacious, family-friendly rooms (which are in excellent condition) have every possible amenity, from full-sized appliances, dishes and flatware, coffeemaker--to a bag of popcorn for the microwave. The daily breakfast is extensive, with eggs, sausage, do-it-yourself fresh waffles, yogurt, cereals and an assortment of breads and pastries. The hotel's location is unbeatable, with exhaustive shopping and dining possibilities a stone's throw away. The staff is uniformly friendly and helpful with inquiries and made some fine restaurant recommendations on my last visit. The Residence Inn does its best to make you feel at home--and succeeds.
