We stayed at the Orange Tree the last week of February 2014. The weather was above average so we made good use of the pool. The resort is located where any direction you go you can find something to do, see or eat. We read all the reviews about the walking distance to where you have to park. Depending on which building you stay could require some additional walking, we did it several times a day. The front desk was always willing to give people rides if needed. The landscaping of the property was very well kept. The rooms had all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfortable, with the bathrooms roomy and fairly updated. The main living room had a (pull-out) couch, a small table with chairs and a small kitchen area. I imagine someday Shellvacations will do some updating of this facility, but it was a nice place to stay. The golf course is the main feature of this resort. The course is surrounded by houses and was in average shape. The pro shop and course workers were very polite and helpful. There is a restaurant and bar with a good menu and good food. There is a nice outdoor patio lounge with a fire pit when the sun goes down. The resort is a short drive from downtown Scottsdale and Camelback Mountain if you want a challenge. I would have no hesitation staying at this resort in the future.

Room Tip: Buildings run from sections 1 to 8, with one being closest to the lobby and restaurant. Parking is mostly in front of the lobby. The pool is in section 6 area. There are rooms facing the golf course and those that do not. There are both ground floor and second floor rooms.

Have stayed here many times. Unfortunatly it has deteriorated in the ammenities arena like
inferior in-room coffee. Also ONE hBO channel on the tv wifi signal weak & luke warm water in showers.
Little ammenities can make a big difference in enjoying ones stay esp the lack of constant hot water.

Room Tip: ask for room with HOT water available.

The condos are fine although a little tired. We had a refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot and microwave but no stove or oven. We were in building 5 with a nice view of the first fairway (for a $20 surcharge per night.) But it is a long walk from parking, although they have bell men with golf carts. The parking was enough of a problem that next time we will stay elsewhere.

Dear Joelgood,

Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding your recent stay at our property. We were truly sorry to hear that you were inconvenienced with the parking on property. While we do have a very attentive Bell Services staff that is always available to assist our guest to and from their rooms, we understand that our parking is a concern for many of our guests. We are evaluating ways to improve the guest experience, especially for those guests that are located far away from the nearest parking lot.

We understand that our guests make decisions on where to stay based on many factors, including being close to accessible parking. We would love for you to return to the Orange Tree Resort during your next visit to the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, and if I can be of assistance at any time please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 480-443-2159.

Warm regards,

This is a really nicely landscaped propriety in a great location. We have stayed here many times and find the staff to be welcoming and very much on top of their game. Housekeeping which used to be daily is now twice weekly. We had a golf course view room, truly awesome. In the past this type of accommodation was provided without extra cost. On this visit, we had to pay an additional $10.00 per night. The room offers plenty of room and is very comfortable. The furniture is rundown and needs an update. Management should review their check-in procedures. All staff at the front desk are very efficient and very accomodating. Once we secured a room we are directed to another employee who's role was to sell us a seat to a Time Share presentation, as the property is newly owned by Wyndham. We were told that we had to collect our parking pass from this lady, but clearly her primary goal was to get us to pay $20.00 to secure a seat at this presentation. This was not a greeting that we have ever encountered in all our years on the road, and was a disappointment.

Room Tip: Buildings four and five with golf course views are awesome.

Gave this place a good review a few months back.
Same good experience except for one thing that turned out not to impact us but I will mention it.
they do not service the rooms if your stay is less than 3-4 days ...there is a ton of towels in the room and they will come in an replace if you ask ...so I did not consider this a real negative .
If you are hot-wiring this place they will give you a room that is far from where you park your car...big deal walk a little . room is a suite of sorts

Thank you for your continued support of our property. We love it when our guests provide valuable feedback.
