We booked a two week stay at the resort as a centralised venue for day trips and sight seeing, along with a middle weekend break to Las Vegas. We asked for a room in a central position and overlooking the golf course, which was undergoing re-seeding during our stay. Had a great room and balcony overlooking the course. The restaurants were closed as they had been taken over by the golf side of the resort and no competitions were being undertaken due to the course work. Room very clean and ample for our needs with a good large double bedroom, superb dining lounge area. The bathroom area had all the usuals a good shower, two basins and a large double whirlpool bath looking out ont the balcony behind louver glased unit. The pool is a reasonable size and quiet whilst we were there. If you plan on relaxing by the pool take drinks with you as there may not be pool bar facilities, or wonder back to your room for something from the fridge. Swims in the afternoon were great as the pool is heated by the sun and morning dips can be a little cool!!

The resort was half an hours walk from a good supermarket (Fry's) and cafe/restaurants (latter included a Paradise Bakery for morning coffee, sandwiches and cakes and several evening restaurants - to name just two My Fat Greek and Z'Tejas Southern Grill) along with various Pizza houses. The resort is only 15 minutes from downtown Scottsdale, where there is a large shopping mall and old streets combining Galleries, Arts and Crafts and clothing shops - all well worth a stroll around from the none US visitor. Ask the concierge for a local map and recommendations if you want guidance.

All in all, the resort catered well for our needs and the staff were friendly and always willing to help.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for a room in a specific block, especially if you are planning on a long...

We just completed a 1 week stay at the orange tree. First of all each person we came into contact with that worked at the resort was terrific. The response to requests was fulfilled quickly.
The problem is not the folks who work there but the aging facility. We had a 1 bedroom unit. In this day and age there is no dish washer, no washer or dryers,no gas grills-really no gas grills- 1 ice machine for the entire area located in between buildings. Finally, on our last night there the resort had a function and in order to use the restaurant folks staying at the resort had to dine outside. No problem however the heaters had no propane. When I asked about that I was told the propane is on order. On order-go down to Frys and get it. Oh well so there you have it

Dear tfcidy,

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback on your recent stay with us. While we were happy to hear that the staff was terrific, we certainly regret that we didn't meet your expectations in regards to your guest room and other aspects of the property. Unfortunately we do not offer the full amenities that you may come to expect, such as a dishwasher and washer and dryer in the rooms. While we understand that it might not be the most convenient means to our guests, we do provide a complimentary laundry room onsite. While here in Arizona we are known for our beautiful weather this time of year, evenings can be chilly, and we are sorry we were not able to accommodate you and make your dining experience more comfortable.

We would love to have you as our guest again sometime. If we can ever be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Bruce Hamm

Nice resort if you golf. Room is large with a closed off bed area for privacy, but you can hear everything. Do not expect a real kitchen. There is a full sized fridge, small bar sized sink and a microwave. No oven or stove top which is fine if you do not want to cook. The patio or deck is not private. You share it. If you do not know your neighbors you will want to keep your bathtub blinds closed! We did not open ours all week due to the privacy issue.
If you want to be close to the pool stay in building 5 or 6.

Dear Lipstick007,

Thank you for taking the time to share your most recent experience with us. We always appreciate input from our guests, and we appreciate your honesty. You are correct that our rooms do not have cook tops and our patios, while spacious, are separated from the neighboring patio by a small wall. While we understand that our rooms did not meet all your expectations, we do hope that you will visit us again and we hope to welcome you back soon.

We picked this place online for a short get away and family visit. We found a large beautiful room with nice amenities. Fridge, microwave, coffee, etc. This place is about a mile long with parking problem as noted by others, but all you have to do if you can't get a space Is park in front of the lobby and get a ride to the room! (Always available). Wife visits the family and I play golf. Loved the course and people couldn't be nicer. Restaurant needs a little help, but it's handy and affordable, Pool area nice, but could use beverage and snack service although bring your own and save $$. Overall it's a great value.

Room Tip: They're all great, don't pay extra for view.

We stayed at Orange Tree Golf Resort 10/24-10/28. This resort is exceptional. The property is gorgeous and the staff us AWESOME. I've stayed here a couple times before and once again they did not disappoint. The rooms are large and we'll laid out, very comfortable. They have all the amenities. They will even drive you around on property to your vehicle, or from your vehicle to the lobby, anywhere you need to go on property as this is a large resort and spread out. Our room was on the first floor with a view of the first green, just beautiful. Barbara the Concierge is knowledgable and very friendly. Our bell guy Dave was amazing. All the staff are very friendly always with a Hello and a smile. I would highly recommend this resort to family and friends. Keep up the good work guys, you do an amazing job. We will be back for sure!!!!!!

Room Tip: Anything around the course is beautiful

We each had our own condo but were all in the same building, I highly recommend requesting buildings 1 or 2 as they are closest to parking. Concierges Barbara and Lindsey were excellent. Both recommended Z Tejas for close Mexican and was best meal ever. Grounds meticulous, staff awesome, free w/d although not in each complex. Will return, highly recommend. Beds super comfy, huge shower

Room Tip: Building 1 or 2 close to parking lot

The hotel was everything that we expected. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. As titled the amenities were more geared toward golfing. the course looked well kept but we did not play the course. However we did use the pool and hot tub and it was nice. The whirlpool bath was a welcome amenity after a long day of hiking. The location was close to restaurants and an easy drive to Sedona. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: If you plan to use the pool, ask to be located by the pool.
