“Nice quiet resort and beautiful”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

I was on the golf course side, and enjoyed the 119 degree temp. The fridge temp was turned off and I did not notice until next am, but resort offered to reimburse me. I will always check when I check in anywhere with a fridge. The bell men were great, yes it can be a long walk, but if you don't want to walk park near the reg. area and they will take you to your room, take in luggage, groceries, and pick up when leaving. The staff were so nice and friendly, room was spacious, although the 1 bdrm said 4 max there was 2 queen beds and a sofa bed.
I would stay there again. When I gave a tip top the bell men they were so thankful, guess not many tip. My mother said if you can't tip don't go, to eat, etc.
I did do the timeshare presentation and this was the first no high pressure and out in 90 min.
I did not eat there or use the spa. Many spa's in the many malls $49 for facial and $49 for massage.
Orange Tree is near and easy access to many places. Check out Rainbow Ryders Hot Air BAlloon and MacDonald's Ranch.

Room Tip: Ask for a golf side rm. lovely and listening to the birds.

We found this resort on hotels.com and were quite happy with it. We stayed in one of the king bed/suite rooms. We liked having the small kitchenette; made it easier to have breakfast in the room or just a snack. The location was good; plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. It was also only about 30 min from the Botanical Gardens and Sonoran Preserve--both of which were great. The pool was a bit small but since we were there in the off season it was no problem. We also took advantage of the discounted gym passes (La Camarilla) that are available. A family pass is $40/week, not too bad.

Room Tip: Pick one of the suite rooms (if there are non-suite room options; not 100% sure, the basic rooms may...

We go to Scottsdale a few weekends a year. We go in the off season (summer) as the can get great savings on rooms at the better resorts. The Orange Tree Resort has beautiful 740 sq. ft suites. The bed is tempur-pedic mattress that was amazing to sleep on.The bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub and a big walk in shower with double sinks. The room has a full size refrigerator, microwave. They have dishes and silverware for you to use. Staff at entire property are helpful and friendly. Great happy hour from 3-6 in the grove . And if your a golfer great dinner and golf packages. We will be sure to visit this property again.

We visit Scottsdale often and have stayed in a variety of hotels and resorts there. This is my absolute favorite (and we don't play golf). In fact, when I think of all the hotels where I have stayed, this one is at the top of my list. There are two negatives: no room service and the parking. Many units require a bit of a hike. Also, there is no room service. However, there is a delivery service that will bring meals to your room from a variety of wonderful restaurants nearby.

The units are, spacious, beautiful, and have everything you could possibly need, including, a porch, kitchenette, DVD player and a super large bath with a walk-in shower at one end and a double jacuzzi tub at the other with a dressing area in between.

The pool is huge so you can swim or relax without bumping in to other guests.

Also, the staff is a five star staff and if you don't want to walk from the parking lot a friendly bellman will come with a cart and take you anywhere you want to go. I love this place.

We have been here several times and even played the golf course. This time it was fof only the resort. We found out it has recently been bought by Wyndham and updated. It is very nice and spacious. Big jacuzzi tub for golfer relaxation and double shower is also very nice. full frig for anything you might want to bring. Service was nice at check in and even drove us to our room. The outside ordering jof food for lunch was unexpected and service was only mediocre. All in all, it was great and we will always return!

Room Tip: Ask to be on the course, that way you don't face the afternoon sun and morning sun is blocked by...

This property is more geared for golfers but we stayed there, not as golfers, and had a nice time. The one bedrooms a big enough and nicely decorated. It was very quiet and relaxing. There is a small restaurant and bar on site, with good food and reasonable prices.

Room Tip: get a room facing the golf course for nice views...

I've stayed for both business and pleasure at this resort and played golf. The outside atmosphere between the bar/restaurant and the golf course is attractive, lots of room to sit and meet and drink, but the bar closes at 7:30pm. The resort has struggled for a while with the food service/bar etc. and it appears unknown to locals completely which is a shame. The rooms - like small apartments are great, clean, big bathrooms with jacuzzi tub, beds are in a separate room with doors and the kitchenette is good. Depending on where you stay, it can be a 'haul' to your room but there are always guys/carts who will drive you to the room. The major downer is the lack of a social bar/restaurant. It primarily caters to the golfers so after dark it's not used much and thus closes at 7:30pm. I had great service this trip however, from the barman, personal service and alerted me to being able to stay in the bar after 7:30 as a place to sit and watch tv if I wished. Overall, will always recommend it.

Room Tip: The farther you walk, or get driven, to your room the less likely you are to have golfers getting re...
