The staff at this hotel was great. They went out of their way to help me when I forgot my iPhone charger. The rooms are basic, but updated. And the breakfast was pretty good for a Fairfield Inn. Although they don't have a fitness center, you can get a free pass to the 24 Hour Fitness, which is a short walk away (about a block). There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance. (A Starbucks was under construction when I was there)

However, this hotel is in the flight path of the Scottsdale Airport. The bad news/good news is that the air conditioner/heater in the room created enough white noise to block out most of the airplane noise. The walls are not very thick and I could hear my neighbors a few times.

When all the other hotels were over $200/night; this is not bad for under $200. But, I would still recommend the Courtyard or Springhill Suites in Scottsdale over this hotel.

Room Tip: Many of the rooms have outside entrances. So, if security is a concern, you may want to request a room above the first floor.

The hotel is a basic hotel in that it was clean and quiet. It does have an outdoor pool and hot tub but I did not get to use them. The breakfast was pretty basic with frozen egg sandwichs and burritos that must be put in the microwave.

All in all - i would stay there again only if there were no other options in that price point.

Room Tip: First and second floor have an outside entrance.

I stay all over Scottsdale and I am a Marriott Platinum member. In the winter months it gets expensive. The best rate I found was at this property. A little nervous when i pulled in. Half the rooms have an outside entry and the property is old. But the staff was great, the room was clean, and comfortable. It is more centrally located between North Scottsdale and Old Town Scottsdale so the location is perfect. i could see an updating project comoing in the future for this hotel, but nothing really wrong other than age.

The staff went beyond any of my expectations. The rooms were spotless...even thought the bathrooms were a tad small. A great hot breakfast in the morning that was complimentary. The pool is all tile and absolutely gorgeaus .This is the best kept secret in North Scottsdale
