Around every corner I half expected to see Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin or Sammy Davis Jr with a cigarette hanging from their mouth and a hot blonde on their arm. Such is the retro feel for the hotel.

A perfect locale for this heavily retro desert motel cum hipster desert retro palace.

Super friendly staff. We twice had asked for a cab and a car service SUV was there at cab rates ! And there before time requested. Front desk staff seemed to be on top of things.

Restaurant - also very retro - had good food.

Wonderful gym and a really delightful gift shop full of retro tee shirts, swin trunks, cover ups, etc...

Best part was the bar. Right up front in the open. Easy to find and see people.

The common area grounds were lacking something, Not an open inviting "feel" - the industrial sorta looking fencing around the pool did not help nor did the walk through what seemed like back of the house areas on the way from Building 6 to the front desk.

All in all a fun funky place to stay. I will be back should business takes me to Phoenix again.

Room Tip: I was in room 6222, the FURTHEST from the front desk. Confusing wayfinding signage does not help at...

We appreciate your review! We provide a property map and room directions upon check-in to help guests find their way. We are just about to finish construction on the new OHasis Pool, which is why we had some trucks in the parking lot. If you prefer a higher floor with an elevator, near the front desk, I recommend one of the rooms in our seven-story Tower. We hope to see you again!

Stayed at the Valley Ho for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. You are within easy waking distance to Old Town and its many shops and restaurants. The pool was perfect and we had excellent pool side service. If you like to work out, the gym is packed with quality equipment and a nice view overlooking the pool area.
The entire property is spotless. They are working on putting in a new quiet area pool, so there is a little construction going on. This did not dampen our experience however...
Got a last minute deal on travelocity and we are soooo glad we stayed here.
A special thanks to Judy at the concierge desk for helping book car rental and plan part of our trip up to Sedona.

I've stayed here several times before but this time I booked 4 rooms for an ASU vs UW football game. When we arrived it was hectic trying to sort out who's room was who's but I can't say enough about the wonderful girl at the desk. She took the time & worked thru each one. The grounds are meticulous & the rooms very clean & fun. From the valet guys to each & everyone I encountered everyone has a smile & is more than willing to help in any way (It's as tho they LOVE their jobs, what a concept.) I ended up adding 4 nights to my stay here & they were added on an each day basis, the front desk girls never minded working so that I may be able to stay in the same room. I will be back here again.

We stayed here for our 50th anniversary. Wonderful staff, very welcoming and pleasant. Concierge was the best. Neat retro 50's furnishings and decor. Very clean and very comfortable beds. Loved it and hope to return.

My good friend and I have been planning our girls' weekend in Scottsdale for several months. Hotel Valley Ho exceeded all of our expectations! The hotel is beautiful- we loved the decor, it felt like we were in an episode of Mad Men (with all the modern day amenities like Wifi and green initiatives). The property is spectacularly landscaped, the rooms are large and very comfortable, and the pool felt wonderful in the 100 degree heat. The pool was a little small, but they are mid-construction on a new/second pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our spa services, and we loved the breakfast parfait at the restaurant. The pool DJ on Saturday afternoon as well as multiple bachelorette and bachelor parties made for a noisy atmosphere- maybe not the best location for pure relaxation or for kids. We had such a great time, and we would definitely return to Hotel Valley Ho!

I've been to this hotel for conferences several times. It's nice, clean with a real retro look and feel. Everyone is always very helpful, the food is good and a fair price. I would stay there anytime.

Room Tip: Eat early as it is party time in the restaurant bar in the eve.
