Around every corner I half expected to see Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin or Sammy Davis Jr with a cigarette hanging from their mouth and a hot blonde on their arm. Such is the retro feel for the hotel.
A perfect locale for this heavily retro desert motel cum hipster desert retro palace.
Super friendly staff. We twice had asked for a cab and a car service SUV was there at cab rates ! And there before time requested. Front desk staff seemed to be on top of things.
Restaurant - also very retro - had good food.
Wonderful gym and a really delightful gift shop full of retro tee shirts, swin trunks, cover ups, etc...
Best part was the bar. Right up front in the open. Easy to find and see people.
The common area grounds were lacking something, Not an open inviting "feel" - the industrial sorta looking fencing around the pool did not help nor did the walk through what seemed like back of the house areas on the way from Building 6 to the front desk.
All in all a fun funky place to stay. I will be back should business takes me to Phoenix again.
