Best hotel experience in years! We stayed one night while celebrating our anniversary- our room was upgraded and the champagne/strawberries/flowers we ordered were waiting on us on arrival! Gorgeous! Room 1220 was ridiculously chic- private patio, huge living space, comfy bed, and soaker tub. The oranges were in the trees all around the property, and the pool was lovely and the staff checked on us and brought us drinks over and over again. We dined at Zu Zu with an appetizer special during happy hour and the best margarita I had in Arizona out of the seven we sampled during the week. This hotel makes you feel special without being stuffy. I adore it and we will return to stay here again.

Room Tip: Room 1220 was amazing- private balcony with a view of palm trees and close to the pool.

Fun and funky 1st class retro style resort in great location. Staff very friendly and helpful big rooms, big bath, great facilities. Cool place to stay and would highly recommend it for a short or long stay. Lots to see in the area make this a great base for any visit to Arizona.

Room Tip: Tower rooms were great but ask for one looking over the pool area.

My stay here was fantastic from beginning to end. The bell staff was helpful, check in was a breeze. the business center was easy to use and accessible. I stayed in a room that had the bathtub in the midst of it all. The room was ji-normous and so beautiful. I quickly scaned over the spa menu and special offers and scheduled a facial/body wrap for the next day. The bed was beyond comfortable and the shower was nice and big. I stayed on the first floor and had a large lanai the was close to the fence, but helped with the street noise. The grounds were immaculate and all of the staff were polite and friendly. I had the opportunity to dine at the Chef's Table Dinner, held monthly on the last Monday of the month. It was outstanding! So enjoyable. And btw, the spa service was divine. This was the last stop before I reached my new home in CA, and I couldn't have spent it any better.

Room Tip: Wing six was pretty quiet, and if your stay includes the last Monday of the month, reserve a seat at...

Spacious Lobby/Bar and Pool area were the highlights of this property. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The patio/balcony areas were a nice feature as well (although the views were lame). The only real downside were the thin walls and ceilings. We could hear doors opening and closing as well as people walking above us...otherwise this was a very good value.

For this year's annual spring training trip we decided to stay near downtown Scottsdale. Based on tripadvisor reviews and a 4th night free promotion, we decided to try the Hotel Valley Ho and were pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly, and the property is definitely unique. We stayed in a tower suite which had a full kitchen and great view of the mountains and downtown. In terms of location, Old Town / downtown Scottsdale is literally at the end of the hotel driveway and there is an endless supply of restaurants to walk to. The Maryvale ballpark in Phoenix was only 20 minutes away and an easy drive. We only had two disappointments with our stay - the furniture in the room (couch, bed) was more for looks than comfort, and the young bartenders in the main bar didn't know how to make cocktails which was surprising given the old school glamour vibe. All in all we would recommend the hotel and would stay here again.

Recently stayed here for a business trip. Loved the open lobby, bar, lounge are, very hip and welcoming. If you like "mod" hotels (actually this is more like a motel, but very very nice), check this property out! Spacious rooms with awesome bathrooms and balconies. Very friendly staff and cool history behind this property. Very close to downtown Scottsdale. Not your typical Scottsdale resort though, so do your research to determine what kind of hotel experience you want before booking!

Valley Ho is a really interesting hotel. The setting is absolutely beautiful; cool bar area, impressive pool, swanky-looking restaurant.

I found the decor in the room a touch garish... Slightly reminded me of the set of the Flintstones or something like that. But the room itself was absolutely huge and very comfortable. The bathroom is gorgeous, too, with separate bathtub which you don't often see in hotels.

Friendly service and I'm told it's close to all the bars in the area. Bet it's fun in summer.

Thank you for your review! If you felt the colors in the room to be a bit too much for your taste, you might prefer our rooms in The Tower. They still have a fun style but are a bit different.
