We stayed one night at Wingate by Wyndham in Scottsdale en route to the Phoenix airport from Sedona. I wanted to stay in Scottsdale because of some nearby points of interest. We were able to check in early, bought frozen dinner from the small on-site market and cooked in microwave in the room. Swam in the saltwater pool; enjoyed the fountain and the hot tub. The hotel didn't seem very busy. The room was huge, with two comfortable side chairs, a desk, and a table, small fridge and microwave. There were two sets of curtains to ensure a dark room for sleeping. The check-in staff were extremely helpful, printing out maps and recommending local sites. The only slight negatives are the location in a business park, the minimalistic breakfast, and the fact that the pool area looks less inviting in daylight than at night due to some wear and tear. However, we were very favorably impressed with the quality of the hotel and the staff, especially given the reasonable price.

We really enjoyed our stay in Scottsdale while our son mended from laser back surgery. Thank you for your hospitality. Thomas and Rochelle Lishman
