“Lots of art galleries”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

And that's a good thing.

Lots of fun walking around Old Scottsdale. There are a LOT of art galleries. A lot of run-of-the-mill galleries, but a few with really exceptional art.

It's an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours if you're in Scottsdale.

Next time we will plan with the intent of hitting the farmers market!

“Great Place!!!”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

We went on a Saturday morning and went to the Farmers Market on Browns Ave and 1st.
8am to 1pm.I recommend parking on 75th Street and 2nd Ave. lots of free parking and you can walk threw the civic centre gardens on your way to market and Old Town Scottsdale. Be sure to take the free trolley which runs from Old Frontier stop on Main St. The trolley starts at 11am and
runs all day and is free. You can get off at the new part of Old Scottsdale Fifth Ave and
see the new suspension bridge and the waterfront which is amazing. There are also
carriage rides you can take but not free. We ate lunch at Karsen's Grill on 1st St.small inexpensive restaurant with homemade food. We would go again as there is so much to see
in Old Town and not enough time in one visit.

“Nice little old west town area”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

A tourist spot for sure but has a nice outdoor market and plenty of stores and attractions. When we were there they had an outdoor art exhibit going on. it was a pleasant day (could have been warmer) for walking outside and checking out all the local art. At one point there was a cowboy on a horse with a guitar on the side street that was interesting to say the least. It is worth a drive and if not terribly busy there is free on street parking for three hours. We found that plenty of time to stroll around and check things out. There is a historical museum you can see, and plenty of horse statues. Well worth a visit.

“A Wild West Experience”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

Located just south of the main city of Scottsdale, the Old Town covers about five blocks square. Plenty of shops, boutiques, eateries and most of them are housed in buildings reminiscent of the old west! There is an old mission and a museum that one could visit. Several places have live music - a lot of country western type of music - in the afternoons and evenings. If one is interested in microbrewery drinks, these are available in several restaurants, taverns, saloons. Not much traffic to interrupt nice, easy strolls through the streets. One can get interesting foods here...everything from Mexican, American, sushi and more.
A place where you can spend a day quite comfortably and easily.

“Enjoyed the Saturday AM farmer's market”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

Check out italian pastry at Fabio's stand (right near the entrance). Also good is the home-made pasta. One of the best brats I've ever had at Brat Hause. Tons of local and tasty food options at the Farmers Market.
