Description: Sassi is Scottsdale's nationally known destination for fine Italian dining, wine and special events. Located at the base of Pinnacle Peak. Sassi offers rustic, artisan style cuisine inspired by small towns in southern Italy. Sassi's villa style architecture, comfortable surroundings and rustic elegance are the perfect setting for a romantic dinner for two or a company event or wedding for up to 150 guests. Dine in one of four main dining rooms or on the patio (weather permitting), or reserve the private wine cellar for up to 14. Sassi features more than reasonably priced 150 wines from Italy and California to complement Chef Peter's flavorful cuisine. We had wanted to have dinner at our hotel the night we arrived, but they were booked, so we searched for something else nearby, and stumbled upon Sassi. We were pleased to find Sassi - it has a mostly Italian menu, and it is all very nicely done. There are numerous rooms in this restaurant - so it feels quite intimate. Only complaint about the seating - it was so dark I could not read the menu - we scooted our table about a foot out and it helped a bit, but not much - looking up, a light which probably should have been shining on the table had been angled to the wall, so, maybe bring a keyring flashlight, just in case??

The food was very good, as was the service...until the end - I don't know what happened, but after the main course was served, we waited and waited - for the plates to be cleared, for a dessert menu to be offered, etc, etc - not enough to put us off from going again though. I'm willing to give it another chance!

Beautiful property, gold faux stone colored building, great desert landscape views of Troon Mtn & Pinnacle Pk great for small weddings. The food is very good, great appetizers try the eggplant or roasted beet salad. Entree ravioli Nieri was excellent, very good cavatelli in meat ragu, excellent wine program & delish gelato desserts. Kudos to the Chef and staff.

Great food, great service. You'll pass many good restaurants on the way, as this place is about 25 minutes north of Scottsdale, but you'll be happy you made the trip. Also, you will see a beautiful piece of desert. Go just before sunset, as it is a fantastic place to watch one.

Beautiful and peaceful location, amazing ambiance, quality service and above all great food. They have a course meals and attendant explains in details and is very much helpful. For us it was Tony. Thanks Tony.

It was a visit on our anniversary and they truly made it memorable. I don't have enough words to say how amazing the food was esp "Mozzarella di Buffala" which melts in mouth :)

One of the best meals we every had. Excellent Service. They complemented us with Dessert (Cannoli della Casa), which was kind of unexpected. Great customer service thing to do.

Highly recommend this at least on special occasions, as normally you may find it pricy. But remember quality comes with a price :)

This was recommended to us by a friend and it was excellent. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. The food and ambiance was the best we had in a week in this area.
