Hard to believe that this brewpub has only been open 1 year. The run a quality act here. Their beers (they might have as many as 12 on tap at once) were all above average with a couple real standouts. They brew in small batches so their selection is constantly rotating. The serve a small, but tasty menu with selections centering around their in-house wood-fired oven. I tried the breads and spreads (3 different bread types with different toppings) and it was tasty. Every pizza I saw also looked great. The bartender and staff were very helpful, friendly and informed about the beer they were serving. I like that they offer multiple glass sizes instead of just pints. They have a small outdoor seating area. Kids would be okay but seating is fairly limited so I would suggest an off-time. This would be my first stop in Scottsdale for local beer, then Papago down the street.

Enjoyed a nice date night with the wife at Fate. The Molto Carne pizza was excellent and the potato nachos were a surprise find on the menu. We sampled a flight of four of their beers. All the beers were on the complex hoppy side except for the Tripel, which was sweet and strong. We will definitely come back.

Only had one night in Scottsdale on a busy tour of SW USA, but had sussed this place out before we left England - glad we did. Was really surprised at the strength of the craft beer movement in the US and pleasantly surprised. This micro brewery was excellent; the bar/restaurant had seating for food both inside and out (yes, it was warm enough to sit outside in October!). You can also eat at the bar, which we did and had a great conversation with the barman, who was very knowledgeable; although I managed to enlighten him on how the beer Porter got its name! The brew house was actually in a room off the bar and you could see the fermenting vessels doing their vital work. We had nachos and pizzas and enjoyed them both. The beer was excellent but very strong - the Imperial IPA was 8.5%!! Not for a session! Also had a long chat about beer with one of the locals, Todd, he was a really nice guy. Proudly left with my Fate Brewery tee shirt and a handful of beer mats! Good luck to the Fate Brewery and to the craft beer movement generally in the US.

Nice beer selection and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the beer (which one would expect at a brewpub, but that is not always the case). Great pizzas, it was difficult to decide which one to order. We will have to go back to try some more. We ordered "the Jess" which was very tasty! The house salad was also excellent - nice fresh greens with Gorgonzola, toasted nuts and a tasty vinaigrette dressing. The atmosphere was just right - casual but still stylish. It's nice to have somewhere to go in Scottsdale where I don't feel under-dressed. We will definitely be back!

We went for a beer at Fate a few weeks ago and loved it so we went back for dinner and found the food to also be great! We got the potato nachos and sausage pizza, both were excellent. And if you like craft beer, you'll love the beer here. The menu is small, but taste is great on the items they do have. I'd definitely recommend for a date night, lunch or bring the kids-all around a good spot in town for a casual meal.
