First visit here, and so glad we decided to give it a try. Ambience is nice; we were there on a Sunday afternoon and they had a guitarist playing and singing during lunch; a nice surprise, although it was a bit loud and made it difficult to talk and hear at times. Service was wonderful; waiter was informed about the menu, personable, and very attentive. Our food was delicious.
My friend had the beer battered shrimp tacos, and I had the chopped salad, also topped with the beer battered shrimp; both were absolutely wonderful. We shared their signature dessert of cinnamon and chocolate tortilla chips drizzled in chocolate with homemade whipped cream; also delicious. And the complimentary chips and salsa (2 different types, plus a black bean dip) were hard to resist. Great new location to the Scottsdale Quarter.

We came for happy hour but also because this place was spoken of in favorable terms at the Scottsdale Airpark Rotary. Very good service. She was friendly, attentive and gave good information. I had beer. Even with discounts the wine by the glass seemed pretty expensive. I can't speak about the margaritas though many were ordered nearby. Carnitas tacos not remarkable. The shrimp tacos were good. The chicken apparently good. The sweet potato and black bean taco interesting. The guacamole was nothing special. Salsas not special either...at least to my taste. Dessert of pound cake with berries, whipped cream, etc not remarkable. In the end we agreed this is a good place to go. I expect to return.

We were sent to this restaurant while staying at the Fairmont Princess and didn't know what to expect since have had experience with concierge sending to the local, agreed upon "tourist" spot which we wanted to avoid. We were afraid this was going to be just that but were very pleasantly surprised. Right from the start our server was great. Super friendly and gave us a free appetizer guacamole to 'welcome' us to Scottsdale. This was one of the best guacamoles we've ever had and that's saying a lot since we're guacamole 'snobs.' It was very different in that it had pine nuts, mango and goat cheese... it sounds a little strange but all mixed together was incredible. We then had the chicken in mole sauce and the sauce was fantastic and a mix of different tacos which were very good and the meat was very fresh. We accompanied this with very tasty cucumber jalapeno margaritas. The staff was very friendly and the manager of the restaurant came by and chatted with us for a few minutes. He was really nice and gave us some suggestions about the area. They have a cute outdoor area as well. We were very happy with this find.

We tried this place & really enjoyed it. We have had 2great servers at places in Scottsdale this week-end. Sol has great black bean dip & salsa. The chips were hot & great. The server explained dishes for us & she was very helpful & fun. Had three different entrees & they were all great. Will go back again.

We ate dinner here on a Friday night, arriving just before 6:00 p.m. The restaurant wasn't crowded at that time, but by the time we left, it was packed. If you want to eat after 7:00 p.m., reservations are recommended. We started off with Margaritas - which did little to impress. The food was another story - it was very good. DH had the Carnitas Street Tacos and I had the Shrimp Chile Relleno. Both dishes were excellent. The side of black beans was unique and delicious as well. The service was very good - and the prices were reasonable. Would definitely like to return and explore some of the other unique items on the menus.
