We turned up at the Village Tavern without a booking so our party of 4 had to settle for the bar area to have some dinner. However, we were not disappointed with our waiter, Patrick, who was extremely pleasant and determined to ensure that we had an enjoyable visit. The cheeseburger (blue cheese) was cooked extremely well and the tuna salad, while a little expensive for what it was, was nevertheless very tasty. We would certainly recommend a visit to the Village Tavern but make sure you book a table if you want to guarantee eating in the restaurant area. While it was fine for us, the bar area might not be to everyone's cup of tea.
