When visting Scottsdale you must go to Cafe Forte, the food the atmosphere and the service were top notch. So inviting that we didn't want to leave. This little independent downtown bistro really shines.

My husband and I had a lovely early dinner at Cafe Forte during a recent trip to Scottsdale. The restaurant is ideally placed in the arts district, within walking distance of Old Town and the Scottsdale stadium. We walked over from the stadium after seeing a spring training game and were looking for a nice, quiet place for a meal that offered outside dining. Cafe Forte fit the bill perfectly.
The menu is nice and all of the items that we tried (gazpacho, ahi tuna salad, horseradish salmon) were excellent. Gazpacho was prepared towards the slightly spicy/garlicky end of the spectrum, but was delicious. The salmon is a house specialty and quite fun. The tuna was seared perfectly.
This is a lovely place to eat away from the really touristy places a few blocks away. It feels unique and authentic and is well run.
The only small limitation is that the size of the menu is a bit small. We had difficulty pairing our appetizer/starters with our main dishes - but this is a very small point.
