this scottsdale institution has been around for a long time for a reason. the food, the service and the atmosphere. we shared the world famous chopped liver. ehhhh, not great, but my daughter loved it. they chomped down on a rack of ribs which didn't stand a chance while i tried the spicy broasted chicken, it ranks in the top 3 i've ever eaten. the sides of spinach and potatoes au gratin were terrific, but the steamed broccoli was only steamed broccoli. our server was personable and seemed to be able to juggle a lot of tables without dropping a single item. the atmosphere was loud, happy and convivial. not a place to go to romance someone, but certainly enjoyable with my grown children.
