A good choice for steaks, ribs (it's related to Chicago's renowned Carson's family), chicken, etc., this is an obligatory stop for baseball fans -- especially during spring training, when the place is crawling with players (mostly veterans), coaches and ballwriters. Walls are literally covered with memorabilia, and the signed-baseball collection is remarkable, but don't think this is a sports bar. In fact, the bar area is kind of tight. This is relaxed, white-tablecloth, two-martini dining. . . and unless the kids are into martinis, leave 'em home.
