Description: Rancho Pinot is a friendly, locally-loved "neighborhood" restaurant, featuring the best of the season from our local suppliers. Chef owned and operated for the past 17 years...we strive to make you feel welcomed and comfortable in our retro western-inspired dining room. Our cooking is simply satisfying and delicious...no fluff, no gimmicks...just homemade goodness for the worldly palate. Open kitchen, mesquite-fired grill, homemade ice creams & sorbets, artisan cocktails, wine cellar, wine-on-tap, draft beer.

We returned to Rancho Pinot Grill, again, and had an exceptional evening of very good food. The scallop with citrus was a lovely appetizer, and the Cohia flaky mild white fish on Moroccan cooked beans was excellent. My wife's spinach and arugula salad was excellent, and her fish soup, was the tastiest dish of the evening. The pinot noir wine selected helped the meal very well. This is the time of the year when the restaurants become less busy. The serving staff, Fritz and Jillian were attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable, and had time to interact with us.

Everything is right about this restaurant--Amazing food, what my husband says is the best Manhattan he ever had, the intimate ambiance where you can converse wih your table mates, an outstanding waitstaff--they have it all! I highly recommend it!

Sometimes you are fortunate to hit a restaurant at the proper time, and sometimes a re-visit disappointing. This is not the case with Chef Chrisa's Rancho Pinot Grill. While the large shopping center atmosphere is not the best, once you enter the restaurant, you are transformed into a local, lovely, well-run restaurant with an excellent, knowledgeable staff, and consistently good food. While the menu has stayed only varied a little, the Noni's chicken, and the quail appetizer are consistently and repeatedly very good. Chrisa has specials, which are often a fish disk. Do try the appetizers which are excellent. Naturally, the array of Pinot Noir wines is very good and extensive but do not make the check excessive. This is a consistent restaurant with very good fare, in a pleasant environment, where you can hear the other person at the table.

Rancho Pinot used to be a favourite of ours years ago when we came to Phoenix/Scottsdale for a conference. We'd bring a group and they would never ever disappoint. This week we are here on vacation and decided to go back for old times sake. So glad we did. First of all the service is incredible they welcome you and take care of your every need. We decided to share our choices so we had the vegetable platter (outstanding) and shared a pasta. Since it was Wednesday it was 1/2 price wine on a select menu - delightful choices - dessert was the pecan, chocolate, honey tart - oh my out of this world - followed by a nice hot tea. The menu covers many choices from chicken, beef, lamb, various pastas, wide array of salads, and yummy appies- Rancho Pinot will not disappoint anyones tastes - Note they are still closed on Sundays.
