“Best Executive Course EVER!”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

My wife and I played at Mountain Shadows twice the week of March 11, 2014. I cannot say enough nice things about this course. It is an executive course with 2 par 4's and the rest par 3's, but it is still challenging. I would highly recommend this for a 3 hour round. My wife has only been playing for a couple of years and it was great for her. The course is extremely well maintained, has beautiful views of Camelback Mountain and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Except for the holes being shorter, the course was no different than any other normal sized course around. This was unlike any executive or par 3 course I've ever seen. Motorized carts, cart paths, drink cart, sand traps surround every green, a few holes had water hazards....it is great for beginners, couples, or anyone wanting to work on their short game. The par 3's vary in length but include a number of holes in the 150 yard range and up. Playing there was a tremendous experience and I highly recommend it!

“Admire the views and enjoy the game”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Nestled to the north of Camelback Mountain, do not be deceived by the closed resort and the fencing surrounding it. This executive course has undergone some issues in the past, however, this fall, a whole new staff and freshened club house are very inviting. The course is in good shape. The kitchen is a bit slow for lunchers and there could be some improvement in making sure the burgers are fully cooked. Most of our group enjoyed salads and sandwiches that were tasty. Service staff in the pro shop, on the course, and in the dining room are very welcoming and gracious.

“Well maintained, challenging par three course”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

The trees and shrubs were beautiful. The entire course is very well maintained. They do parings that work well and keep the foursomes moving. Their personnel are very friendly and they have a nice golf shop.

“Fun place to golf”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

This is an executive style golf course nestled between two mountains in Scottsdale. The scenery is awesome, the course is in great shape and it's just a fun little place to golf. They have no problem sending out twosomes, so if you do that, you will be waiting, but there is a lot to look at and enjoy. The first seven holes are pretty similar to each other, but then you turn to number eight and the topography changes. When you get to number fourteen, it changes again. It takes around 2.5-3 hours to play. The clubhouse is very old and musty smelling; we have never eaten there since there are too many good places to eat in Scottsdale. We always have a fun afternoon here.
