This was a fantastic hotel!! We had a group of 5 in town on business for the weekend, and all of us loved this hotel! The location is perfect--close to the airport and major freeways, and tons of bars and restaurants right around the corner. We actually walked back from
the bars one night, and never once felt unsafe.

The room was really nice. The suite was large, with a corner unit desk, a fold out couch, tv in an entertainment center, and a countertop with a microwave, sink, coffeemaker, and refrigerator in the living room. The bedroom was seperated by french doors, with a comfortable bed, dresser, and television. There's a doorwall in the bedroom that leads out to your own private patio facing the pool.

The staff here was wonderful, very friendly and accomodating. They have a shuttle to the airport on the hour beginning at 7am. They also host a free continental breakfast in the mornings, and a happy hour every evening, with free beer, wine, and appetizers.

All in all, I loved this hotel. For the price, it can't be beat! I would definitely stay here again!

The room (suite) was very comfortable and clean. The beds were nice and the doors between the bedroom and couch/living area were nice when we wanted to watch different tv programs. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the suite as well. We had a poolside room which was nice.

The breakfast was very good and they had a manager's reception in the evening (mon-thurs) with free beer, wine & pop plus snacks.

The pool & hot tub were clean and they had towels available there to use.

The only drawback were the thin walls so if you had poor neighbors it could be a bad stay. We could hear the people (kids running) above us and the guy next to us (blow his nose) but we didn't hear them that often so it was still a nice stay. Maybe staying on the third floor would be better!

I would probably stay here again though. There were fast food places nearby and downtown scottsdale was only a mile away w/ more restaurants, etc.

We- a group of 8 golfers- stayed at this hotel from 14th-28th Jan.
The rooms were spacious with large and very comfortable beds two TV'S and fine lounge seats. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned each day. We had balconies overlooking the pool which was heated and kept very clean also.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
Maintenance responded very quickly to replace a bed side lamp bulb.
There was what I would call an extended continental style breakfast with cereals, bagels, english muffins, toast, pasteries, fruit, yogourt, waffles tea, coffee, fruit juice etc. which was included in the rate.It was quite adequate but not everyday for two weeks, so for a nice alternative almost directly across the road was US Egg which serves a great full breakfast and the rest.
There is no restaurant in the hotel but close by is The Red Lobster and The Olive Garden which are quite good. Old Town Scottsdale is not far away with lots of Restaurants and bars. Check out the Rusty Spur Thu -Sat for a good live band.
There was a managers reception each evening for a few hours with free beer and wine.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express and would recommend it as a good place to stay in Scottsdale and great value.

Two friends and I stayed at this hotel in January (MLK weekend) 2007. We had a great experience! The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel linens and bedding were clean and comfy. Our room was a suite, and included a 3rd pull-out couch bed, mini-refigerator, 2nd TV, microwave and kitchen sink. The best part was that we didn't pay extra for the suite room. The hotel offered a free breakfast and happy hour each day. Breakfast included warm cinnamon rolls, cereal, bagels, coffee, juice, etc. Happy hour included free beer, wine and snacks. The hotel staff were kind and attentive, and the hotel was only about a half mile from downtown Scottsdale. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there were many good ones nearby. The hotel even has a free shuttle to and from the Phoenix airport, but because the Scottsdale area is so spread out, it was better for us to rent a car.

We just got back from three nights at this hotel while in Scottsdale for the Fiesta Bowl. The hotel's location right on Scottsdale Blvd is perfect and the property itself was in top shape. It can't compare to the nearby and many resorts, but for a quick trip to the Phoenix area, it was perfect. The room was actually a suite with two televisions, breakfast is free in the lobby, and we can't say enough about the location! Thank you tripadvisor.com for leading us to this affordable yet very nice gem.
