“Overall Nice Hotel”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

Overall it was a nice hotel experience. The staff was friendly. The property is nice. I have stayed at other resorts in Scottsdale and wanted to check this one out for one night. I would just suggest that they put more landscaping/shading spots around the pool/lazy river. It looked pretty bare. Nice lobby area. Overall nice family resort or conference hotel. I didn't get that retreat feeling though.

I am sitting in my 4 th attempt at a room. It is 12:04 am and I am wide awake. Why? Well after having reserved an upgraded room, we checked into a nice room with a nice view and a barking dog next door trying to scratch its way out . Yes a dog that someone dropped off and went to have fun. Never informed that they were "dog friendly". We call the front desk and what happens? They move us. Off we go on a 3 hour quest to find a room. We finally settle into our fourth attempt when our neighbor decides to set up a sound system next door and have a party. How loud? The tv volume was at 50 percent and we still couldn't hear it. The base was so intense that I thought the kids put a quarter in the vibrating bed except there was no vibrating bed. I called the front dear and informed them of the party. Keep in mind housekeeping had been servicing a room only 2 doors down. No effort to correct the situation by housekeeping. At 9 pm as the kids are almost down, the neighbors on the other side come back and their kids are wired as is the father. With the wife in tears, I just had to endure the screaming and yelling. So why am I writing this at 12:21 am? There is a party just outside the balcony and yes, they are not holding back. Would I stay here again? I would rather share a blanket with a hobo on a park bench than spend another night in this well disguised budget hotel. I hope this helps with your decision

Despite the heat of the summer, the Westin Kierland is an oasis in the desert. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The "heavenly" beds so comfortable and give you a great sleep. The views of the golf course from the bar are wonderful. A marvelous touch is the 6 pm bag piper celebrating the sunset. The ground floor rooms over looking the pool area are very nice and the pools are great. The staff are welcoming, friendly and so helpful. They will gladly attend to all your needs. I will be returning to the Keirland.

Room Tip: Select a room with a view of either the golf course for the pools.

Fabulous Hotel and Spa. Picture Perfect Views. Food is amazing. Beds are outstanding! Have visited this hotel every year for the past 6 years. A home away from home. The staff is wonderful and go out of their way to have you enjoy your visit. The only negative is that the hotel is quite large. Try to get a room close to the elevators or you will be walking forever to get to your room.

We were here for just one night with 4 kids. We had a casita, which was great, had a central kitchen area and two separate bedrooms. However, it was difficult to get to with all the construction and we had to park by the clubhouse, out of the way. The kids loved the pool and lazy river, and we enjoyed a cabana we reserved with a personal butler. The pampering was great! The restaurant inside the main hotel, Nelly Cashman's, was good, but very slow service. Location is good, rooms very nice.

Room Tip: Choose a casita for a larger family, but prepare for a long walk. Plan time for the kids to enjoy t...

The Westin Kierland is an absolutely beautiful resort. From the moment we drove up, we were treated like welcome guests by everyone we came in contact with. The grounds are lovely; meticulously maintained and spotless. We enjoyed hanging out at the "Lazy River" pool, floating around the property in a tube. Speaking of pools, there was an adult only pool where we could relax in a very quiet atmosphere when we felt like a bit more peace and quiet.

The room was generously sized, very clean, and well appointed. We had a balcony that was perhaps a bit narrow, but a great place to sit and enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The bed was fabulous! The bathroom was large and had a seperate tub and shower. The shower had two heads, which was kind of cool.

The only negative about the room was the fact that wi fi was not included in the room price. If I wanted to use the wi fi, it was $50+ for three days. I feel like this is a miss on the hotel' s part....

I was at the Hotel for a 4 day conference. The meeting facilities were plentiful, well equipped and very nice. The food was top notch.

The dining choices in the hotel are plentiful, something for everyone Casual to fine dining. The hotel location is excellent, plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. You could park the car and have everything you need within a 10-15 walk.

Overall, just a beautiful hotel and a great place to go to for either work or play!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the golf course rather than the pool area. Much quieter and a beautiful...

We stayed for just a couple of days in mid July as a mini vacation while visiting family in AZ. Lazy River and slide kept my kids occupied all day. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We didn't use the Kids Club but they had many activities for kids to do including a scavenger hunt and different activities by the pool. Did not get a chance to discover the golf course but looked so nice. They offer daily golf clinics! Loved the close proximity to Kierland Commons that has many great restaurants and shopping. Rooms were nice and clean. Great Starbucks coffee in the room. Would definitely stay again!
