“Gotta Go!”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

This hike is short and up but totally fine for the novice hiker. We saw several children on the trail as well. The views along the way and at the top are amazing! They extended the hike to the far side and although it doesn't take you any higher it is another viewpoint of the valley you will totally enjoy. Better to hike in the morning to avoid the heat as it is open and you are in the sun. Take water if it is a hot day. The weekends are packed, we went on a Wednesday and had to park just out of the park parking area. We took non-hiking relatives from North Dakota and they said it was a highlight of their visit. Saw several lizards and unique cactus. A MUST for friends and family to see!

“Crowded and Touristy”
Reviewed April 6, 2014

The food is still pretty good and the steak is hard to beat, but, even with a reservation, you may have to wait and it's pretty packed. There's a great view but much of the restaurant doesn't get to see it.

“Crowded and Steep”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

This would be a fun hike if it weren't so crowded. We went on a Sunday morning, and could barely park. The trail is narrow and quite steep. So, the burden of large crowds, sometimes running up and down the trail, make this more dangerous than it needs to be. The views, however, are nice.

“Great trail”
Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

Well manicured trail with well marked flora. It's a decent hike with a gravel trail. Lots of local flora and great views. It was a great outing for the family. Bring water. There are lots of inclines on the trail.

“Always a nice hike--great scenery”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

I like to hit Pinnacle Peak every time I go to Scottsdale. This time I took my family for the first time for our first real 'hike'. Yeah, it's a trail, but plenty of elevation. Great scenery, with lots of informative signage on the wildlife and plants that surround the area.

Lots of wonderful sugauro cacti, which we all found fascinating--especially after reading about their growth and ages (at around marker #50 I think).

Great place--I'll continue to visit Pinnacle Peak each time I go to Scottsdale.

Go in the morning---it gets hot fast. And, have some water in your car for when you're done.
