We stayed at the Sheraton through our time share exchange based on the great reviews. I am happy to say we were as pleased as expected. :) The customer service is great, the pool is gorgeous, and the resort was always clean.

The pool is beautiful and was ALWAYS stocked w/ plenty of towels, no matter what time of day. Our only downfall was that it closed at 11pm, wish it was a 24 hour pool, or at least the adult pool be 24 hour. We went over the 4th of July and even though it was busy, there were always seats when we got there and the pool was never overly crowded. Great temp also, not too hot or too cool, just perfect for the 110* weather we were there during. The hot tub was very hot, but once in, a comfortable hot... lasted about 20 minutes which is a good amount of time spent in a hot tub. We were there during the sand storm and they had the pool cleaned and up and running by dinner time the next day - a huge pleasant surprise given the size of the storm. Definitely appreciated this given the weather as well. There was a gentleman that worked at Splash (pool bar) and he was always smiling and passing out cups of water to the guests, he seemed to really enjoy his job and it was nice to see that kind of enjoyment while on vacation.

We hiked Pinnacle Peak (easy-moderate, definitely a nice leisurely hike), and Camelback Mountain (HOLY HARD!! More like a huge workout! Bring plenty of water. We're in shape and it was hard! Rewarding when done, but definitely a challenge).

Rent a car. I was debating this and VERY happy I did. The resort is about 4 miles from the nearest grocery store, and not surrounded by places to eat or anything, so I feel a car is very needed based on its location. Splash is the pool bar but only open till about 6pm and doesn't serve dinner. Fully stocked kitchens in the larger 1 bdrm and 2 bdrms, so you can easily get by making dinner every night, but it was nice to have a car and get out -- the town is gorgeous. :) It would be awesome if they had a restaurant on site (more sit down material and that serves all three meals), but there are plenty of places to eat if you have a vehicle.

We did the time share tour and were not hounded by any means. A few less calls following up for our decision would've been nice but I understand they were just keeping up on it since we were undecided at the time. They were also very respectful about it, just calling to follow up and that was it. The presentation was 1:1 so went as quick as we'd like. We had all our answers within 90 minutes and enjoyed the presentation. :)

The resort was always clean, really enjoyed the property. The workout room was of adequate size for a resort, not big, but big enough. Very nice equipment and I loved that they had fresh, damp towels in a fridge, dry towels and sanitizing wipes all within the workout room... they really go all out to make the guests comfortable!

We really liked our room (larger 1 bdrm). Had a full kitchen with all the supplies we needed; even had a dishwasher! :) Had a jacuzzi in our room, along with a separate shower in the bathroom (dual shower heads), and dual sinks as well. A fire place in our bedroom AND in the living room area (with a pull out couch), a table that sat 4 of us, and a washer and dryer in our unit. Made for a great stay. :) We had a room on the third level corner and didn't hear a peep the entire week we were there. I requested a quiet room and it was in a PERFECT location - quiet and very close to the pool and workout room.

I really enjoyed this resort and our vacation, and highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Get the larger 1 bedroom, has a full kitchen. Quiet room on 3rd level.

First of all, wow what a great review! Thank you for that wonderful feedback. Your review captured such a great picture of the property as well as Arizona. It was a pleasue for us to read. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our pool and rested comfortably even with the unexpected Haboob dust storm hitting the area. An unusual sight for us all. We are happy to report we recently have extended our pool hours to midnight to provide extra time to enjoy those refreshing pools on property. We also are happy to hear you found the presentation to be at ease allowing you to make a personal connection to answer your questions. Great advice on hiking the AZ mountains and bringing plenty of water. We would also suggest South Mountain as a great hike for you to enjoy on your next visit. We would love to have you back to stay with us soon so that we can continue to wow your expectations.

I loved this condo! It was very well maintained, nothing out of order or falling apart, etc. The maid service was excellent! The ladies did an impeccable job every day AND were incredibly kind. The resort had so many things to offer that it was hard to get our kids out for sightseeing. They have awesome pools, a waterfall (my kids loved that), and a spa (my favorite). The beds, sofa, and sofabed were very comfortable. The kitchenette was a wonderful amenity to have as well as the patio/balcony and the outside grills! We cooked burgers out one night and our kids loved that more than going out to eat. I personally loved the shower and the bathroom itself was very big. The wireless internet was very good-it even worked out on the balcony. We also always had a parking spot that was close to our unit, we never had to drive around to find a spot.
We've stayed at another condo for vacation and have been disappointed with it because of the Sheraton Desert Oasis setting a very high standard. Everything we saw was well decorated and well cared for. It was an all-around excellent experience and would highly recommend it to others.

Hotel was a time share trade thru Interval International however I.I. had our reservation recorded for a week later than it was supposed to be so we had to pay for the rooms out of our pocket. Free vs 1,800.00 was a shock to say the least. We downgraded to a 1 BR unit and the gave us a discount . The full kitchen was nice as was the daily activities and two pools. A large one by the clubhouse and another quiet shaded pool. The front desk help were exceptional including Tiffany and Erica. They addressed you by name and provided a wonderful cilled bottle of Pink Moscato wine free on our anniversary. Internet was truly free and they even have printers to use also free of charge. Drinks at the poolside cabana are wonderful including mudslides, coladas, prickly pear margaritas and various smoothies all 6.00 each with tax

We stayed for 10 days in the middle of June 2011.
We arrived at 3:30pm, a half hour early for check in and our room was not ready, but they took our phone number and called us within 15 minutes.
The resort itself is rather small, but in a good way. All of the amenities are within close walking distance. We stayed in a premium 1 bedroom with a full size kitchen that has everything you need to cook. The microwave over the stove even offers convection.
The living room furniture is a little older but still comfortable except for the fold out sofa bed. The mattress is very thin and you can feel every bar under it. The bed in the master bedroom on the other hand is incredibly comfortable and huge.
There are gas grills with utensils spread around the resort that worked well and when one was broke it was fixed within a couple of days.
The pool area is very nice and the towels are on a self service cart allowing you to grab a couple to cover that hot lounge chair.

There is no restaurant on site, but there are plenty of places nearby. Yes you need a car, but who travels to Arizona without getting a rental?

Not purpose built but well furnished & maintained. The larger units are much more enjoyable than the small ones. They have full kitchens, the deluxe beds & much more room.

Front staff is competent. A house holding staff member saw us struggling with heavy luggage & immediately came over to lend a hand. He wouldn't take a tip & we came to realize this is the standard of customer service they train for & strive to uphold.

We so appreciated the courtyard stroll to the front & pool with its lazy river feature. The mid June blossoming shrubs are a drop dead gorgeous experience.

We did our pool use early evening & thoroughly enjoyed it. Snack bar early closing was an inconvenience though.

With a car this is well located to appreciate the Phoenix area. I recommend a trip to the Heard Museum as educational. Also unique is Frank Lloyd Wrights' Taliesan West architecture school, developed with student labor starting in 1937.

Well, something DID come up short: the walls are paper thin & you will witness every shower bath & toilet flush of your neighboring units. Sorry, we enjoyed our experience highly but paper thin walls are a fact.

Room Tip: By all means try to get the larger size unit.

My family of 3 stayed in a 2 brm/2 bath lock-off villa. This was actually 2 x 1brm villas connected by an inside door, so we had plenty of room . The larger villa had a large master bedroom with the most comfortable king size bed I have ever slept in and a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, a shower and double sinks in the bathroom. The smaller connecting villa had a smaller bedroom with a queen size bed, with a shower in the jacuzzi tub. Of course each unit had it's own fully equipped kitchen, living room with a fireplace, TV/CD/DVD player, dining area and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room and a patio outside the living room with table and chairs. The 2 brm/2 ba villas can accommodate 8 people. The pool area is very nice with a water fall flowing into the adult pool, there is also a jacuzzi and a children's play area with water spouts and Splash bar for drinks and food. Each day there were different activities organized for both adults and kids. The staff were very helpful, friendly and immediate service if you needed anything extra from housekeeping. The only negative comments I have is that I found the villas to be dark inside. Not a lot of sunlight gets into the the villas because of the dark exterior color and the balcony is very shaded. Personally, I prefer daylight coming into the living area, and we had to use the lights all the time in the living room and kitchen, even with the shades and patio door open. Our patio looked out onto the park-like setting with grass, trees and shrubbery, even some bunnies and other little critters running around.
Also, if you're staying a week housekeeping will only do a change of towels once and garbage pick-up (unless you ask for more towels and/or more garbage pick-up) they will NOT do a mid-week clean unless you request it and there is a charge of $20 for the small villa and $25 for the bigger villa. In previous stays at timeshare resorts the mid-week clean was included. We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay there again if the occasion arose.

Room Tip: If you prefer a lower floor request one in advance

We did enjoy the Sheraton and location in Scottsdale-our favorite area. First, all the great things about the resort. We had a 2 bedroom lock-off for my husband and I and four teenage girls which was plenty of space and provided us privacy. I love the balconies, nice bathrooms, jacuzzi jet tub, bose stereo etc.....The furnishings were pleasant and most of the items were in good working order. The pool area was pleasant with a huge spa and plenty of uncomfortable chairs, the grounds were very pretty and well maintained with grills and picnic benches. Parking was ample, welcome breakfast and tour introduction was also a nice addition. Food store and plenty of restaurants nearby. Now for the needed improvements: rooms are very nice but need a little TLC-just a little, pool chairs are as hard as a rock and need cushions. There is a small but sufficient work out room with cold water. The poolside restaurant needs the most improvement as the food is sub-par for a Starwood property and the service is slow....Also~ there is no beverage/food service unless you go to counter; that is not service. Why don't they have one person additional to offer beverages to guests in pool/lounging; this would be a HUGE improvement in service. It appears they need to expand their outdoor cooking kitchen area because it's tiny. Other than this, there is no restaurant or food at the Sheraton; another disappointment. They have a rather large area that seemed desolate except for welcome breakfast/tour intro. Overall, I would recommend Sheraton as it is pleasant and comfortable. If you are looking for those added amenities, you won't find them here. If they improved on a few things, this resort would be 4 stars.
