Nice hotel, large property. My room was up front near the lobby and it was very convenient. A pool side room would also be a good place to stay. Restaurants were not open during the mid-day (probably because of the slow season), but there are plenty of places nearby to eat.

Thank you for being with us and for this positive review of your stay at our resort. Although during this slower time of year, we do close our restaurant between lunch and dinner, we do direct our guests to enjoy a full menu in our open lobby lounge. We also provide food and beverage service over this time through room service, at poolside or on our patio deck. We hope to see you back again soon.

called hotel before morning of arrival to ensure we would have a room close to south pool and to make sure we did not have a room with extra high ceilings(stayed before and we knew that this room had windows up very high and only has mini blinds so much light comes thru). was told on phone that would not be a problem. Upon arrival made sure that room was what we asked for and was told yes. After carrying all our stuff upstairs (no elevator) went into the very warm room and found we had the high ceilings we asked NOT to have. called from desk they said they would call me right back so they could find a new room. waited, no call back for almost 10 minutes. I called them back and the front desk person seemed irritated and had no idea what high ceilings i was talking about. Waited for bellman to bring new keys to new room, which was fine. The entire process put us behind 30 minutes. It was my husbands birthday so I was not able to surprise him by setting up the room and we almost missed the shuttle which only runs on top of the hour. very disappointed. the next day when we left i called front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned within 2 hours. when we returned 2 1/2 hours later room was not cleaned. called front desk and got the same girl i spoke to the day before, she was very rude. we decided room could not be cleaned, as we were laying down for a nap. so we were brought towels only. Was asked again to clean room and we declined. After falling asleep we had housekeeping open our door and was extremely frustrating as I could not fall back asleep. I understand things happened, but the attitude was not acceptable. I have NEVER given poor feedback in the past for anything because I am pretty relaxed and try to always understand people have bad days. I felt unwanted at this hotel. NOT welcoming at all.

Thank you for being with us and for this feedback regarding your stay at our resort. You are totally correct that details and attitude are the cornerstones of service. I apologize about the issues you experienced and for the attitude and lack of detail provided in your interactions at the front desk. I have followed up with my Director of Front Office and she, in turn, has reviewed your feedback to our staff with further training to first not have such issues occur and second to better handle the situation if they do. We do hope that you will give us another opportunity in the near future to show you that we are better than this and that these matters have been addressed.

Great hotel experience. The room was comfortable, clean, helpful and curteous staff. The resort was easily accessible to many restaurants and shopping, 20 minutes from Sky Harbor Phoenix airport, beautiful upscale area.

Very nice hotel, great pools, beautiful grounds and our room had a microwave and small fridge . The room was also very nice quiet and the beds were comfy. Housekeeping does a nice job. Had few minor problems , some were handled some not. the location is close to Old Town , so close to great restaurants and nightlife. The staffs need to communicate better with each other. I would stay here again.

We had a great experience for our family get away. The staff at check in were helpful and courtous we had made changes to our reservation after the initial booking and there was no hiccups once we arrived. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as part of our package and it was excellent. The highlight of our stay was family fun in the pools, they were both beautiful and well maintained.

Just finished up on a two week stay at the DoubleTree in Paradise Valley. I was here on vacation with my girlfriend, we chose the hotel because of its central location and low price in comparison with other resorts in the area.

Check in was prompt and very efficient, we were given the exact room that we had booked and requested. Jennifer checked us in and was very knowledgeable of the hotel and various amenities; and of course, we got some warm cookies which were just the snack we needed after a long days travel. The grounds of the hotel are very well kept and i like the fact that it is open and spacious with lots of areas to walk around, the cactus garden is a nice touch, its great to see some of the amazing plants up close.

Some people have raised questions about the WiFi, before my stay i was expecting it to be only available in reception and the bar, much to my surprise it was available almost everywhere and most importantly in our room which was great!

We were in room 5214 which was a pool view king, the view of the south pool was great, the room is of a great size and finished to a good standard. There were a couple niggles with the room (toilet door didn't sit on the slider properly so was a pain to open and close, chair at the desk felt like it was ready to collapse and one of the lamps in the room didn't work) nothing major but enough for me to make a note of. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and the bathroom large and spacious with oversized tub and power shower.

The first couple days that we were there, the south pool hadn't been cleaned and as a result looked quite dirty with plenty of debris floating around, i guess this it to be expected as there are lots of palm trees surrounding the pool, it was cleaned thoroughly a couple times whilst we were there, i did notice that the north pool seemed a lot cleaner though.

We had the breakfast buffet at enFuego which we thought was great value for money and certainly left us feeling full until dinner. we also had some drinks and food in the evenings at the Loggia Lounge which was great service and very good value, the burgers and pizza are of great quality and very well priced, as are the drinks.

The housekeeping was very reliable and cleaned the room to a very high standard. i did have one mishap whereby they accidental took a pair of shorts from the room when removing the linen from the bed. I put a quick call in to reception and they were found and returned the next day, really pleased about that.

The service at the hotel is very good, all of the staff said hello and were very polite throughout our entire stay, I went out for a run one morning and when I got back to the hotel one of the groundsmen came over and gave me a bottle of ice water which was a nice touch, especially as it was very hot outside; we got back late one night from a baseball game and front desk gave us a couple complimentary cookies as a late night snack; we were also allowed a late checkout due to our flight not leaving until 7pm; little things like this help to make you feel more comfortable during the stay.

Overall I would say that this hotel is great value for money and offers excellent service and a fantastic location. Would I stay again and recommend to friends? Yes.

Room Tip: pool view is great but can be a little noisy.

Thank you so much for being with us for two weeks and for this very positive review of your stay at our resort. We appreciate most the many compliments on the service and attitude provided by our staff, as that is the heart and soul of any property. We have upgraded to high speed wireless internet access throughout the resort some time ago and, when we did, we also took the step to make it complimentary. I apologize for this issues you experienced in your room and at the South Pool. I will follow up with engineering to ensure that this is addressed and not missed in the future. We hope to see you again soon.
