Description: ‘Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana creates the truly authentic pizza experience utilizing the same simple methods that were practiced for hundreds of years in Napoli, Italy where pizza was born and perfected. Pomo's Pizza is produced according to the Neapolitan tradition where each pizza is a unique piece of art. We combine the slow levitation method to produce our homemade dough, all natural ingredients, and the Blast-Cooking process for 60–90 seconds at 905°C on our wood burning oven imported from Italy to lock in flavors, natural aroma and moisture. This gives the pizza a soft and digestible crust, which is the signature style of a true Napoletana Pizza. Our pizza is made from slow-rising sourdough with a minimum of 24 hours in the rising process. We are proud to be the First and Only APN Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani and VPN Verace Pizza Napoletana certified Restaurant in Arizona. We take Neapolitan pizza seriously and you will be able to tell with every taste.

“Delicious Pizza”
Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

We recently went to Pomo in Scottsdale. We had been to the other location in the Borgata. The new location is very pretty and upscale. The bar area is very open and cozy. My husband and I sat at the bar. We ordered the Margarita pizza and was very pleased with our order. Very tasty. We will be back.

“Here today...Gone Tomorrow!!”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

This place is another trendy Scottsdale restaurantwhich opened several months ago. The food's not bad, but really nothing special!! Expensive for pizza. There's outdoor seating, but you're basically sitting next to the parking lot, so it's noisy & sometimes a whiff of car fume aroma can be detected. My major qualm is the staff turnover. It's seems, with only a few exceptions, that there are new waiter faces every time I go. The staff has quietly stated that the management is inept and mean. I did settle in with a particularly good server and now he's gone too!! I'm done with Pomo!!

“You should not have to ask for (or pay extra) for bread in an Italian Place”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

I have written more than once about Pomo, always positive. In fact, what got me started on TripAdvisor a couple of years ago was my enthusiastic discovery of Pomo and their Pizza Napoitana, thin crust pizza looking and tasting exactly like in Naples, where pizza was invented. This year, ever since they moved to a new location, while the clientele has been somewhat upgraded (more business suits), the service has been going steadily down and down. And last time we visited, the pizza was severely undercooked.

And now this: last week we stop for late lunch and decide to skip the pizza. Instead we order several appetizers accompanied by a bottle of well chilled white. The appetizers are delicious, especially the grilled vegetables and the bresaola on a bed of arugula, but when we inquire as to where is the bread, we are told it's only available as a separate item on the menu! This in an Italian place where bread is always taken for granted! On top of this, the bruschetta is lousy, the tomatoes have almost no herbs or olive oil and the flavors have not blended at all, the whole thing being cold and tasteless. This does it: I think we are done with Pomo, there are quite a few other good Italian places to eat in the area, including Marcellino (see separate review), Trattoria Veneto (separate review) and my latest discovery, La Stalla Cucina Rustica in Chandler.

“Crust was not properly cooked”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

We sat at the pizza making bar Saturday afternoon about 6pm and found the place have a comfortable & energetic atmosphere but there is better pizza out there folks. We split a romane salad and Pomo pizza. It was undercooked. The bill included 2 glasses of wine and was $45. Nice place & nice people but we won't be back. This is not Italian neopolitan pizza.

“My kind of pizza”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

My sister took us here and it turned out to be as good as the pizza's we had in Italy. We ordered the artichoke, prosciutto, mushroom and basil pizza as well as the shaved parma, cappicolo and basil. Both are a thin crust that's blistered from the wood fired oven. They bring you grated parma, hot peppers and pepper oil to put on the pizza. Also had local orange wheat beers with pizza.Delicious.Only small problem was a bit of wrapper from prosciutto on one pizza. This was quickly and professionally fixed with apologies from owner and price of pizza was deducted.Service was good and professional. An excellent dining experience, just like in Italy
