Owner description: Troon North Golf Club stands as a hallmark of the Scottsdale desert golf experience with two 18-hole courses stretching through the natural ravines and foothills in the shadows of Pinnacle Peak. Giant granite boulders lie strewn across the rugged landscape of Arizona's Sonoran Desert, where Troon North Golf Club combines iconic golf with the visual sensation of desert landscape, providing a standard unmatched in the American Southwest. Revered as Scottsdale's crown jewel, the challenge, visual sensation, and special ambiance of Troon North sets the standard by which all other courses are measured. The immaculately groomed fairways, bentgrass greens and exceptional customer service create the renowned Troon Golf Experience. Troon North's Monument and Pinnacle courses consistently rank at the top of every golfer's must-play list. Recent course renovations by original designer and British Open Champion Tom Weiskopf have created two new layouts that bring his original concept to life. Golfers in search of the classic desert golf experience are returning to Troon North Golf Club again and again to enjoy Weiskopf's true vision. Whether you're playing for the first time or a regular at Troon North, these two Scottsdale courses in sunny Arizona offer golf connoisseurs the best in desert golf!

“TOO EXPENSIVE”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

The golf is great but it costs an arm and a leg ! The people in and around
Troon are arrogant and pretentious. Golf should not cost more than
50 bucks a round. Expensive golf is killing the growth of golf. Not too many
people can afford to play golf anymore.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

Not sure what to except that its Troon North and by far the best dessert golf that exists perhaps in the country. Every hole has an incredible scenic view and the course is in great condition. Troon is a must-play in Scottsdale. The Grill is very good as well

“A Chance to Play the Best of Desert Golf”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Both of these courses are challenging but fair and during the summer months, quite affordable. The setting and course architecture are amazing. I have had a chance to play many of the best public access courses in the country and these are two of my favorites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The conditions are always outstanding even in the dead of summer. It is a must play in Scottsdale.

“Always wanted to play and it delivered”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Both courses were superb although I preferred Pinnacle over Monument. Greens were fast and true, some of the carries from the black tees were immense, Sunday Best needed just to reach fairway. Saw many animlas including Bob-Cats on the course. Super setting, staff were great, clubhouse great too.

“Didn't dissappoint”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

I;m and 8 handicap and enjoyed the experience very much. The course and surrounding desert were well manicured, greens were in great shape, as were the bunkers. The course is surrounded by large expensive homes but they do not detract from the views. It's not cheap, but if your going to golf in Scottsdale this course should be on your list.
