The service is absolutely excellent and the food is delicious. They have a very nice choice of appetizers, salads and entrees. I was very impressed by the presentation of the food and it was all outstanding. Our party had the Caesar salad, grilled endive salad, veal ravioli, filet mignon, and the special - mahi mahi with crabmeat. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend.

My wife and I have eaten here twice over the last several weeks, with wonderful experiences both times. Please look at the dates of the negative reviews, as any problems that may have existed have clearly been corrected.

We first had the Sunday brunch in October, and then had the Thanksgiving prix fixe turkey dinner last night. On both occasions the service was impeccable - friendly waiters and other staff, very attentive, without being overbearing. The restaurant manager came by our table to ask if there was anything that could be done to improve our dining experience, but there was nothing else that was needed.

The food at both meals was delicious - creative combinations of ingredients, cooked perfectly, with interesting tastes that you might not add at home or find in other restaurants. The prix fixe brunch was more than enough food, and we definitely did not feel the need to add the buffet option. Three excellent courses were accompanied by all the orange juice and prosecco we could drink, and included coffee and tea with dessert - yes, a great dessert was one of the brunch courses.

Thanksgiving dinner was something we looked forward to, since our family was out-of-town and we did not feel like going through all the preparations for just the two of us. Last year we had a horrendous TG meal at a restaurant on the way to New Orleans, so we really wanted to have something special to erase those memories. Well, we were not disappointed. The soup included caramelized shallots and chestnuts, and was delicious. The main course of turkey (of course) included a nice assortment of white and dark meat, fennel-sausage stuffing, sweet potato, haricots verts, and a tasty spoonful of interesting cranberry sauce - all delicious and all appealing to look at. Dessert was a lucious pumpkin/caramel tartlet. We were offered, and accepted, a flight of 3 wines to accompany each course. Three generous 3-ounce pours included pinot grigio with the soup, an excellent chianti with the turkey, and a sweet bubbly rose with dessert. Each wine matched the food well, and we thought the price was a very good value.

Both times we went the waiters were very interesting gentlemen - take the time to talk with your waiters and you may be pleasantly surprised. One of them had run his own restaurant in the past, and the other plays percussion with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. They were assisted by serving and clearing staff, who also were friendly and attentive, without hovering. Any problems the restaurant may have had in the past with service have clearly been corrected, as our experiences were both extremely positive - this is how service should be managed at a good restaurant.

Free valet parking is available, and that too was done the way it should be. One person opened the passenger door to let me wife out, and the person who took our ticket and parked the car was both friendly and efficient. Another nice touch was that everyone from the parking attendant to the wait staff knew our name and addressed us throughout the evening and Mr. and Mrs. X. This shows a level of communication among the staff that also is fairly rare.

The setting is beautiful, and if you either eat on the patio or relax there before or after your meal, the view of the valley and mountains is stunning, and there are fireplaces providing just enough warmth to take the chill off the evening air. While we were sitting by the fire, we also were asked if there was anything we wanted to drink - attentive, but not obtrusive, service there too.

Overall, this has become our go-to place for a reliably excellent meal, and we fully expect to return here often. We are experienced world travelers, so we are not easily impressed by a restaurant. This restaurant at the Phoenician Resort is impressive, and we doubt that you will go wrong by dining here.

Service is very good, and the food was excellent. I had pasta with a mushroom sauce which was fabulous. Breakfast was also quite tasty! Manager came to check on us and make sure everything was good. We were told that they make their own pasta fresh everyday, and they have a butcher that does their deli meats.

We had lunch and dinner at Il Terrazzo. Both meals were delicious. Being a hotel restaurant the prices could have been inflated but we felt that they weren't.

It was nice to be able to sit outside but undercover

As with the rest of the Phoenician, the service was excellent. The servers were attentive, always near but not intrusive.

We generally don't take too many of our meals on the hotel property, but we had free continental breakfasts for being Platinum Starwood members, so we had 5 breakfasts at Il Terrazzo. We loved the breakfast burrito and the hash stack and the Phoenician benedict. The rest of the items were pretty standard for a hotel restaurant.

They have high chairs and kid's menus (with crayons for coloring).
