As a family of 5 we enjoyed our stay at the phoenician suites.(stayed 7 nights) The hotel is located in the centre of Scottsdale However not noticable , it is situated in a oasis of silence. The ambassadors(staff personnel suites) are very friendly and helpful.
The suites are simply amazing in every aspect. Super large and all the confort you need. The private pool with the excellent service was a bless.
The only remark we have is the wait for breakfast. (Main hotel)There is no difference between seating for regular guests as for private conference groups. Also Beyond comprehension are all the empty "reserved" tables at the outside patio. Tables for breakfast should not be reserved.
This did not ruined or stay in any way ....again we enjoyed it at the most. 5 stars fully deserved.
Greets from belgium !

We sincerely appreciate your feedback about your recent visit- thank you for taking the time to write a review. I would agree that while our location is close proximity to downtown Scottsdale, The Canyon Suites is quietly tucked away where a tranquil retreat awaits you. We are disappointed that your breakfast experience was not up to par. I have shared your comments with the Food and Beverage management team and we will use these learnings as part of our on-going training to make improvements. We hope to welcome you back to the Canyon Suites should your travels bring you to Scottsdale in the future!

I have actually never shared my thoughts about a stay at a hotel, but this visit was so exceptional I felt compelled to do so. My family and I have stayed at many resorts over the years. . Serendipitously, this last spring break, we were offered the Canyon Suites instead of our usual rooms at the main facility of the Phoenician. Boy was that a surprise gift! From your first steps at the driveway, we were immediately enveloped in a level of service and hospitality that rivaled and often surpassed any Four Seasons or other high end hotel. Better for so many reasons, not the least of which included no early morning scrambling for seats at the pool or lines to speak to a concierge etc. The commitment of all the staff from door man to concierge to pool attendant was astounding. My 15 year old son even voiced his amazement that the doorman actually greeted him by his first name! With these experiences, I went out of my way to meet the manager, Julian Arrendo, to personally congratulate him on creating such a rarefied environment. The resort's relative independence from the primary facility has clearly empowered him to work his obvious talents and hand pick and support the entire staff and bring his vision of excellence to life. And yet we could still enjoy and otherwise avail ourselves of all the services etc of the Phoenician Hotel proper just a short walk (or golf cart) away! Bottom line: you can stop looking now....do not walk...rather run to this resort and have a 6-star experience!

I am not sure if there is a better resort hotel in the country. The hotel within the hotel at the Phoenician is luxury at it best. From the moment you drive in, the staff is welcoming and ready to help. Check in process is like coming home and rooms are spectacular. Service is wonderful and amenities are the best from wine tasting to fruit and cookies. Poolside is great - restaurants on the the property are wonderful, golf, tennis. What more could anyone want. Everything was done in a great manner

My mom and I just returned from a relaxing girls weekend at the Canyon. We were blown away by the gorgeous decor, level of service, and setting. We felt as if we were on an exclusive island far from the cruise-ship atmosphere of the main Phoenician resort. Our ambassador (essentially your concierge) Meaghan was so nice and helpful.
The pool was fantastic for relaxing, so calm compared to other resort pools I've been to. Not crowded at all, no need to race down at the crack of dawn to reserve a chair. Ben and Marcel served us great daiquiris and mojitos poolside.
We had coffee service each day on our terrace (complimentary!), ate breakfast by the pool, and wine tasting (complimentary!) each afternoon outside off the lobby gazing up Camelback at a waterfall garden.
Highly recommend a golf course view room, very quiet. We just had a double room (not a large suite) and it was plenty large, including a massive soaking tub in the bathroom.
We each had spa treatments at the Centre for Well Being, which was a lovely spa experience. As a canyon guest you get access to the spa facilities and the fitness center whenever, which is a big plus.
All in all worth the price tag. Cannot wait to return to this beautiful resort.

The Phoenician next door moved me to the Canyon Suites when I was unhappy with the condition of their rooms.

I found the service at The Canyon Suites to be exceptional. The rooms were clean, modern and full of all the amenities that one would expect from a fine hotel and resort. I recommend this property highly.

From the second my husband and I arrived to Canyon Suites we were treated like we were the only people at the resort. We could not believe how amazing the staff was!! We have travelled all over the world, stayed in amazing places, and this was by far the most luxurious hotel and accommodating staff we have experienced. You pay a pretty penny but it is worth it! I could go on and on about the staff and the beautifully kept grounds and golf course, but I will keep it short and say that you will not regret picking this hotel. It is incredible!!

Room Tip: If you can, you should definitely splurge on the suites!!

Having experienced many Five Star properties around the world, I thought I'd seen it all. That changed the moment we drove up to this boutique slice of elegance, taste and class nestled in the base of the majestic Camelback Mountains. From the moment we arrived, we were immediately struck by the outstanding level of service. The bell men were attentive and charming. At no time did they convey the impression that they were providing you with service for a tip. That alone added to the comfort level of engaging them and asking for help. We truly tipped the staff from a place of gratitude rather than obligation. Patrick, Damien, and Nick all provided us with outstanding Bell service. We arrived 5 hours prior to check in time. Despite this, our wonderful concierge Meghan, worked tirelessly to get us into our room early. Meaghan provided us with exemplary service during our stay routinely going above and beyond our expectations and doing so in a cheerful and genuinely pleasant manner. When I tried to tip her for one special request, she refused the tip until I insisted on her taking it. Amanda at the reception was also charming and cordial to us. She and Meaghan created a feeling that these people were good friends as opposed to strangers. Jordan oversaw things for us and ensured we had the best available room for which we were very grateful.

The facility is pristine. The suites are second to none and the amenities are over the top. Fine linens, towels, salon quality bath products, news papers, complimentary valet, complimentary wine tasting, coffee, teas, fruits, biscotti, etc... The list goes on and on.

We were so taken with the overall experience of this jewel that we are already planning a return trip as we sit on the plane home.

Starwood should use this property as the bench mark for all of its other affiliated hotels and villas.

The Wow Factor has been elevated by this property and its handpicked staff.
