Description: Fogo de ChaoR (fo-go dee shoun), is an authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse. In 1979, FogoR began sharing the gaucho way of preparing meat in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Today, our gaucho chefs still expertly grill each of our 16 cuts of meat and offer you continuous tableside service. We invite you to enjoy the delicious preparations of our gaucho chefs along with our gourmet salad bar, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list.

We recently celebrated our Son and daughter-in-law's anniversary here. We had gone on a Friday at lunchtime. We were very impressed. A lot of times when you arrive at restaurants with young children you are seated in the back and largely ignored, but not here. They made all of us feel welcome. As the different servers came by they treated the children with respect and they were very friendly. They allow you to pace the meal at your needs. All the waitstaff is very attentive and will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs. If the meat they are serving is not the way you like it cook ed they will come back with a piece just like you like it done. The salad bar was phenomenal. They also had coconut crusted haddock in case you did not want to meat. It is a fairly pricey restaurant, however, it is well worth the money spent. The luncheon is substantially lower price than the supper. There was no charge for the young children and when they found out it was an anniversary celebration they provided a free dessert for the anniversary couple. There is a Fogo de Chao in Miami near where we live and you can be sure we will be going there.

Fogo De Chao means, Campfire. And, what a campfire of food we ate. We toured the kitchen to see how the meat was prepared. Gaucho dressed gentlemen select the meat in the cooler, slice, season, cook over coals & mesquite and deliver the particular meat they are assigned, all night long. Sixteen cuts of meat, served the was you like it cooked. Just ask and they will bring. It was a special occasion and we were treated royally. The decadent dessert $8 plus dollars was complimentary. The meal ran $49 per person and if you just want the salad bar, its $22. Service was excellent. They aim to please and are happy to serve you. We loved the rib eye, filet mignon, prime sirloin, top sirloin, leg of lamb, and chicken legs. I have never experienced an entire plate filled with different cuts of meats that complement each other. They can do group events from 15 to 200 people. Its an experience we will always remember!

It's a pretty pricy restaurant - approx. 40$ pp but it's worthwile. Food is very good and meat excellent quality. Ambiance of the restaurant enjoyable. And you can walk from the Hilton.

There were 12 of us and the Hostess seated us comfortably and explained the process of getting food from the Gaucho Chefs. The Gaucho Chefs bring out cheesy Mashed potatoes, Brazilian potatoe sticks, fried Banana but the main course is about 10 different meats that Gaucho Chefs bring to your table and you can take all you can eat. Rare, Medium Rare or well done, The Gaucho chef has all the meats cooked to perfection. The salad bar has fresh veggies, fresh cheeses and Breads. Full cocktail bar and deserts are different but delicious! This is a pricy but for the taste of the food, how it was prepared and delivered over rode the price! I would recommend not eating all day just so you can try all of the meats, the menu explains all the meats so you know what you are eating. We will come here again for sure. Beautiful setting and open.

I love the concept of this restaurant. It's pretty simple.

Tons and tons of meat on a stick! My favorite was the signature beef and the filet Mignon.

My least favorite was the lamb shank and the rolled pork item. I don't know why pork seems to always be overcooked. This was no exception and the lamb was good but I didn't care for the pepper crust.

The service was nice and the salad bar is incredible but I don't actually want salad when my flat fee bill will be $50. (I actually know how to make salad at home!) :-)

I will also say that the mojito was fresh and delicious. It was a good cocktail. We went on a Friday night and the place was PACKED full so make a reservation.

You have to go at least once to check out this dinning EVENT!
