We did this in September my daughter and myself. It was the morning session which was cool.
Staff was good and the horses where healthy. The guide was good, it was a guiet group so he didn't say much and not many questions. The trail was good, but we did walk along the road and crossed a few intersections with cars approaching. But, once in the hills a little it was great.
One complaint was the horse they put me on was the beta horse so it had to be the second horse in line. My 11 year old daughter had a donkey horse mix which couldn't keep up with the pack and was dead last. Since she isn't an experience rider and all the road crossings I wanted to go behind her. Guide would not let that happen. He also stayed at the head or sometimes on the side but not to my liking to keep an eye on her. So if you go with younger kids let them know you want to be near them so they can make the adjustment. I felt it was leaving her out by not letting me ride closer. The other thing is they charged me $10 for a pick up which we did not do. I didn't notice this until I returned to check the original quoted price. Probably an honest mistake
