Chicken tacos were very fresh and light. Also ordered the enchilada stack. There was a lot of chicken there and that entree was a little heavier. We substituted the bean queso for the regular pintos. Very good and a little spicy too.

This is an ok restaurant - food is average but we still walked out with an $88 tab plus tip. Way too high for a casual dinner with no dessert and one drink each. Service was good but not good enough to make up for the so-so food. The highly touted corn chowder was flavorful but too much cornstarch or flour made it too thick. Steaks were just ok - seemed like low-end cuts. I might go again for happy hour but not for dinner.

Staff was very fun. Table was clean.
The food was excellent! Very tasty without being heavy handed. I enjoy some heat in my food but not at the expense of overpowering it. This was a great balance.
The Blue Adobe is now on my "must visit" list for Scottsdale.

Took friends to Blue Adobe in Scottsdale. It was their first visit and they were very pleased with their experience. It is a small place with booths around the perimeter of the room and a long banquette down the middle with tables on either side. There is a small bar area separated from the dining room with a half wall. You can still see the bar TVs and hear the musicians from most of the dining area.
The food we had was very good and they have a nice selection of draft beer. One friend had the pork tenderloin which he loved. The other had shrimp tacos that she gave two thumbs up. My husband had one salmon and one crab cake taco as these are his favorites. I had the Chimilada which is a mini-chimi with a Portobello mushroom enchilada. The enchilada has a yummy amaretto cream sauce over it. The rice and beans are good but the chimi was not too crisp.
The salsa they serve with the complimentary chips is a dark, smoky tomato based one that is not too hot but has a bit of a kick. We love it because it is unusual and doesn't burn the taste buds off your tongue like some salsas do.
We take our visitors here and they all seem to enjoy it as much as we do.

We sat outside on the patio, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. There was live music which you could still hear outside at a nice volume, and the misters were going. Our service experience was great. The waiter was very polite and professional, and quick with the drink refills. I am not adventurous in the food arena (much to the exasperation of my husband) so I stuck with the "safe" cheeseburger. It was very tasty, and done perfectly. My husband had the stacked enchilada which he found tasty. He also really liked the salsa that came with the chips. Our food did not take long in coming - pretty much got there when the chips were gone. All in all we will go back next time we're in town.
