“Love love love this hotel!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

Spent two nights at firesky and loved every minute! It was part of our honeymoon and on mentioning it at reception we had an upgrade to a poolside room with patio and free champagne and nachos!

All the staff were very welcoming and we love the complimentary shuttle down to the old town which is well worth a couple of hours wandering around.

The pool area makes this hotel what it is. We spent a wonderful afternoon around the pool area and had our pick of loungers and cabanas. Waiter service at the pool meant we were never short of cocktails.

We ate both nights in the restaurant on site and both times the food was lovely and well priced. Sipping on a cocktail by one of the fire puts was the perfect way to end a day at the firesky.

All in all a fabulous stay: just sad that we live 6000 miles away and can't visit more offer!

Congratulations! Champagne & Nachos....what a little slice of heaven! I'm so happy to hear that we made your special time a little more special. 6000 miles is a long way to travel, but you'll have to come back and celebrate an anniversary with us sometime. Best wishes from us all!

Nice place overall and service is really good but rooms are way too noisy. I booked thought Hotwire and got a good deal, otherwise I would not have been happy had I paid anywhere near the asking price. The location is great and overall appearance of the resort is very nice. Good outdoor spaces as well. My big complaint is that is was hard to get any sleep here. You hear every little noise from anyone in the hallway or their bathroom. They need to figure out how to fix this if they want the resort to live up to being as upscale as it looks. In the room you feel like you're in a low budget Best Western. I don't think I would come back based on the inability to have quiet when in my room. Loved the amenities of the resort, the room was very comfortable. Comfy mattress, staff is very attentive to trying to please you, but intolerable room noise. You hear very door open and close, every sink or shower run around you, and every conversation in the hall. Very disappointed that it was impossible to relax in the room!

All in all it was a nice resort. The rooms could use a little face lift and the restaurant needs a little more selection. It was a great stay and i will go back. The kids really loved the beach swimming pool. It was quiet and relaxing. The gentleman who checked us in really didnt seem to friendly that might be my only complaint, But the rest of the staff was wonderful. Gail Jarres helped with my reservations and she really went beyond to help me with my needs and was able to accomodate everything i needed, she was wonderful. The resort is just beautiful.

Room Tip: pool side view

Thanks so much for the testimony. Gail is such a an amazing team member and I will be sure to celebrate her in your honor at my staff meeting today. I am sorry to hear that the front desk did not make a connection. I am very surprised but know I will look into it. Please come back soon and I appreciate the feedback.
Warmly,
Cheryl

I stayed at the Firesky Resort for business and it was an unexpected treat. The resort property is tastefully decorated for trend, modern style, comfort and relaxation. The service is excellent and consistent. The employees go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. For a work meeting, it was nice to go back to a very comfortable room with an extremely comfy bed and sheets, a leather made for my body chaise and rain shower.

We had an evening event outside with a county fair theme. We had so much fun! There were some of the bet comfy places to sit in quiet or in a large group around many fire pits. We ate at the restaurant for lunch. The food and service were very good. The only thing was the open doors letting in flies. When we told them they immediately closed the doors. Great resort, and I would highly recommend for family and friends.

We spent 2 nights at Firesky on a AAA discounted rate. The hotel is very nice, with its lobby and pool/garden area being the highlights of the property. You can tell the hotel has restored an older property with the room layout being 5 buildings each 2 stories high. However, I believe they did a good job and even if the layout feels dated, the rooms are brand new and well decorated. We only had breakfast at Taggia and it was excellent (excellent croissants and fresh fruit). Staff was very helpful and smiling. Do not miss the free 'happy hour' wine bar daily between 5-6pm. At night the pool area really looks nice with the flames and the fountains going on. The hotel is really close to downtown Scottsdale with its restaurants and shopping area.
Would stay again and recommend to anyone interested in a cheaper alternative to the uber-expensive resorts elsewhere in the city.

I'm nostalgic for this hotel. My wife and I came here when we first started dating and have been back most years since. The rooms are cool and well remodeled. The pools are fine and simple, not like the mega pools at the other resorts. Nice lobby and decent grounds. They also have a free shuttle to Scottsdale and the Mall.

All and all a 4 star hotel that is centrally located in Scottsdale.

The restaurant is another story. Every year we get mediocre food with pretty sub-par service. Great place to stay, go out for your meals.

Room Tip: Place to stay, not to eat. Pool view rooms are really nice to have. You can sleep with the door op...

The expansive entry and lobby gave off a very relaxing atmosphere upon entering and made the hotel look much larger than it is. We were happily greeted and provided explicite instructions for check-in by the helpful bellmen who later also provided great tips on dining and shuttle services. Our room was small but nicely renovated with a private patio. Rooms were easily accessible from the parking areas around the hotel. The pool area of this place is what makes it special. Two pools - one with a sand beach/zero depth pool and the other with waterfalls. There is a hot tub right off of the main pool and a fire pit where you can make smores with a kit the hotel provides. All of the pool area is surrounded by lush shade trees and there is plenty of seating and loung chairs. The restaurant was very good with reasonable prices. There is a lawn area that can be used for private events as was the case when we were there. This is a nice family resort as well as a romantic get-away place in a great location.

Room Tip: The pool side rooms looked nice, but I imagine that there would be more noise. All rooms have a pri...
