“Great Condition, Great Location, Great Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2014

I had the opportunity to play Talking Stick North this week. The conditions of the golf course were excellent and the pace of play was much better than we expected, about 3:40. The North course is an excellent Ben Crenshaw design that opened about 10 years ago and now has become a very nice desert style course with adequate fairways and excellent landing areas. The greens are open in front so you can run a shot up to the green. The summer rates make the course very affordable, we paid $40, as opposed to the inflated winter rates. The North course is a par 70 with only 2 par fives number 2 and number 7. It also has a couple of short par 4's. I would highly recommend, my tip is to play early and get the best conditions. Arrive early and take advantage of the terrific driving range. Enjoy!

“North Course - Immaculate and Fair”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014

I played the North Course at Talking Stick which is the links style course of the two offerings here. Great service at check in and very efficient bag service and pro shop attendants. The course facilities are nice with driving range, putting, chipping areas, bunker practice, etc. The course itself was in fantastic condition! I played it on a Monday morning at 7am and had the entire course to myself for the first hour. Grass was manicured on each and every hole. Bunkers and greens were perfect and it made for a great day of golf! Price was reasonable, I was able to book golfnow for $105 as opposed to the direct rate of $135 and that was even for a hotel guest which I was. Great course for the money and I would definitely play again. Might try the south course next time which is more traditional with water and lots of trees but being originally from AZ and now living on the east coast I love returning home to play desert style courses rather than the traditionals which I can get on the east coast.

“terrible experience, needed ear plugs to play this course”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

Weather was perfect, playing companions were great, but the casino had LOUD assaulting techno music BLARING the entire time we were there. Everyone hated it, the noise pounded your body. Evidently, everyone complains but the Casino does not care ( casino owns the golf course) they have a pool party every Fri, Sat Sun. Our foursome said we wouldn't play there on the weekend if is was free golf, it was that awful. We did complain, via voice mail to the person in charge, we felt sorry for all the employees who had to endure the horrible noise as well as the golfers. Usually, we will have lunch or purchase something In the golf shop, but we could not leave soon enough.

“Talking Stick golf course”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

Golf course was well maintained. Food at restaurant was medicre. Service was fair. The staff was simply doing their job. They did not seem happy and excited to have guests at the restaurant.
There re numerous courses in Scottsdale. No need to return to this golf course.
