This place is the most interesting, creative motel I've ever seen..anywhere! It's a work of art! The pictures do not do it justice! I love, love, this place! The owner, Randee, is welcoming, and a genuinely nice, cool, friendly guy. Cindy, is the housekeeper, and she's the same way. It must be the desert air. Can't wait to go back!!!

The Westward Motel is a remarkable place. Comfortable, clean, great western decor, with a laid back, relaxing environment; as many others have said - a true oasis. While there are only four rooms, they are lovingly cared for. The Westward boasts a full community kitchen, barbeque area in the courtyard, and funky styling that makes for a unique stay.

I have been staying at the Westward on and off since it opened and have never been disappointed. Randi, the owner, is friendly, helpful, and always has a smile on his face. He is a great host. This is one of those rare finds that is totally out of the box compared to other motels. Overpriced chains don't hold a candle to the Westward for overall experience. You may not be able to go for a swim (there's no pool), or get a massage (no spa), or find a free breakfast there; but (and it's a big BUT) the whole place is right out of the pages of 'Arizona Highways'. The rooms are very comfortable with premium beds that other motels don't provide. Good AC and even a stove for heat in each room when it does get chilly.

The price is very reasonable and a great value if what you are looking for is a true desert oasis that is comfortable and relaxing with a unique style and funky feel.

Room Tip: There are only four rooms (they are all fine), so be sure to call well ahead of your planned stay and re-confirm the week ahead.

Our family was visiting my brother and his wife who winter in Bouse in their RV. We were concerned because we didn't know where to stay but again - Trip Advisor saved the day!!!! We found the Westward Motel on Trip Advisor and we absolutely loved it. Very quaint - very upscale amenities in the room and bathroom - I was so surprised. And an unbelievable value. Randy was out of this world on showing first-class hospitality. He even waited up for us and called me because we were coming in later in the evening. The entire property has one surprise after another and everyone is very friendly. There was a community kitchen as well as a very cool courtyard with a full built in grill, firepit, tables, you name it. Even a car coming out of the side of the building - all decoration of course. You gotta see this place to believe it. Incredible little oasis in the middle of the desert!

Traveling from central Texas to LA we wanted to stop somewhere unique. This was it. If you're tired of the over priced box hotels near the interstate take the journey up the road to the Westward motel.
The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. There is a central kitchen with coffee and fridge as well as a court yard with BBQ.
The only downside was that our dog had to sleep in the truck.
Call ahead if you want to stay since there are only 4 well kept rooms.

Needed a place to stay close to Alamo Lake. Found this place on line. It was great. It had what we needed. Clean room, comfortable bed and great hot shower. There is a full kitchen. We only made coffee but you can cook if you want to. There is also a nice grill if you want to use it. Lots of seating outside too. The owner is very welcoming and is there if you need anything. It's in walking distance to a couple of places to eat. Definitely would stay here again.
