My first time in Arizona, and I stumbled into heaven. Mike and Angie's place isn't just a treat - in 30+ years of business travel all over the world I have no hesitation stating this is the best place I've ever stayed. The combination of an engaging, beautifully-kept and lovingly-appointed Inn, a fascinating desert location, and the wonderful hospitality of Angie and Mike just blew me away. I had a relaxed five day stay, spending lots of time doing as little as possible, and also seeing some local sights. It was hard to leave at the end of it; I felt totally spoiled and totally at home at Down By The River. Local attractions were well worth the time in the area - the Kartchner Caverns State Park, the Amerind Foundation Museum, and Tombstone to name just a few within 25 miles. And the Arizona skies at night? Breathtaking.
