Just passing through Safford and wanted to be more adventuresome than either Denny's or Subway - or frequent travel lunch spots. Jerry's was a great choice. Breakfast all day (if you want it) and the classic lunch sandwiches. How about a great BLT with crisp french fries ... or their special avocado / chicken / bacon sandwich with the unpronounceable name? Great fast service, clean everything and American food done just right. Made you feel like a local (if we only had a cowboy hat, which everyone else seemed to have on,)

Whenever your in Safford Arizona ' you Must visit Jerry's Restaurant. My favorite dish is the meatloaf and mashed potatoes covered in that brown country gravy, any veggie sides, soup or salad, all comes with the meal. Friday is FISH DAY all you can eat !!. This establishment is clean neat and organized. The wait staff is very polite and aim to please. They have accomodations for baby, and handicapped too. The prices are Fair for the meals you get. Menus list regular dinners and others . Atmosphere is generally quiet, sometimes radio music playing, but no hard rock. They also have air conditioning . The bathrooms are clean and have plenty of supplies. There address is 1612 W. Thatcher Blvd. Safford , AZ Phone : 928 428-5613

My husband and I had been on a road trip vacation for 10 days and the restaurant food had been mediocre. The Mexican restaurant was closed on Sunday so we tried Jerry's. We were thrilled with the food, service, atmosphere (diner) and location. My husband had the chopped steak dinner and said the meat was the tastiest he had on the road. I had pancakes and ham and both were excellent. The ham was $4.00 extra with the pancakes but it was huge. We packed up 3/4's of it and had ham sandwiches later in the day. We were very satisfied with the food, the prices and would recommend highly recommend Jerry's.

Spending over 40 weekends a year on the road, one finds a broad cross-section of 'dining' opportunities. When breakfast has to last through the entire day, you want something that's fresh, tasty, and big enough to stay with you all day, especially if you;re busy until supper. Years of experience generally points us to a certain national chain, but they're not 'everywhere'. That's not always bad - had there been one in Safford, we'd have missed Jerry's, and been the poorer for it.

When you think about the 'ideal country town diner', as portrayed by Hollywood, what you envision is locals and tourists, a friendly, efficient staff, good, hot coffee in a bottomless cup, and fresh, tasty food - and lots of it - at reasonable prices. Friends, you just imagined Jerry's.

We don't get to Safford often (don't think anyone does), but if your travels take you anywhere nearby, this is where you want to start your day. Next, we're going back to try lunch or dinner (and may just detour through town the next time we're on this side of Arizona). A place this good is hard to find, and deserves your business.
