“Clean, comfy home and a short drive to everything”
Reviewed December 28, 2015 for a stay in December 2015

The three of us (plus our small dog) stayed at A Touch of Country so that we could visit Sedona and the Out of Africa park. The location was perfect and the home was very clean and comfortable. Nancy even had fresh baked cookies waiting for us when we arrived - NICE!
The yard is fabulous and the rooms are very comfortable. My only criticism is that the array of electronics are kind of confusingly set up. That said, it all works and my daughter really enjoyed the selection of video games!

“Perfect weekend getaway with the canine family members!”
Reviewed December 1, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

My significant other and I wanted to spend Thanksgiving in Sedona to do some hiking. The caveat being that we wanted to bring our two dogs, Harper and Timber, with us.

We ended up finding "A Touch of Country" as a viable option for the weekend. However, because it had three full bedrooms we decided to invite four other friends (one of whom has a dog). The owners are obviously dog lovers and had no problem with us bring all three pups. We paid a refundable pet deposit and had no problem getting that back in full at the end of our stay.

This house ended up being the PERFECT location for a weekend getaway in this area. It had everything we could need (coffeemaker, etc.) and Nancy was very responsive when we had questions prior to our arrival.

There was a welcome basket with treats, but the real treat was going outside into the backyard with all three dogs. It was better than the pictures. The backyard is at least an acre, fully enclosed, and has a dog door (note: two of our three dogs could fit; we had to open the door for the tall 80 pound shepherd mix). I can't say enough about the backyard. There was plenty of room for all three dogs to run around and play in the leaves.

We used the grill for most of our dinners. We also set up some ladder ball in the backyard and even had a little bonfire the last night. The house was comfortable and cozy. The owners have clearly spend time making this house a home.

During the day we drove up to Sedona and hiked. Nancy and Ed left us ample information and brochures to research hikes in the area. They also left us a Red Rock parking pass which really came in handy because we needed it for both hikes we chose. The drive to Sedona took about 35 minutes each way, but it was a holiday weekend.

I would HIGHLY recommend this place to a family or group of friends traveling to this area (especially if you have dogs). It was also exceptionally affordable. We would stay here again if we decide to make this a yearly tradition.

Side note: We had used AirBnB in the past and gave FlipKey a chance because it contains so many of the Sedona area houses. It was completely comparable to our experiences with Air BnB.

“Most Relaxing Vacation Ever”
Reviewed July 4, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Such a comfortable, peaceful place. With all the comforts of home minus the stress. Loved the hot tub and the pool but most of all loved the grounds. Beautifully landscaped, very spacious yard covered with shade trees all over and completely enclosed with a tall chain link fence for safekeeping of the pup or kiddies. Great, most appreciated privacy with nothing in back but AZ high desert and no neighbors in view. To say that this home is a taste of country is absolutely true throughout. We loved this place and we highly recommend.

“Perfect Home Away Home From Home”
Reviewed June 28, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

LOVED our stay in Rimrock. Easy drive to Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon, Out of Africa Wildlife, etc. Amazing fun day trips, with the ease of coming "home" each evening. The house was clean, comfortable, and the pool was a god send in the hot weather! We will be back. Thanks Nancy for your hospitality and attention to the little things.

What a deal! We spent the whole weekend outside enjoying the pool, hot tube, fire pit, barbeque, patio, etc. The house was perfect for two families with rooms on both sides of the house. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, and Nancy was a very thoughtful host. We brought two Chihuahuas and a Black Lab, and I think that they had as much fun as the rest of us playing in the lovely fenced in yard.
