“disappointing Italian, we miss Giovanni's”

Went to Giovanni's for years, food excellent and true Italian.
Giovanni's closed, restuarant opened under new ownership as Tuscan Kitchen. We had hoped for good Italian food, went twice, both times not good. Marsala sauce was bland, chicken parm had little flavor. We miss Giovanni's food, will not be back to Tuscan Kitchen.

The bread was so delicious, hints of rosemary and oregano. Minestrone soup was full of good stuff and tasty. I had the Calzone, out of this world and big enough to feed two people. A side serving of red sauce was appreciated, something you don't usually find out West. Waiter was very helpful and friendly.

My husband and I and 5 year old daughter have been to Tuscan Kitchen several times. The servers are very friendly and extremely accommodating. The food is always served in a timely manner.

We moved out to Arizona about 3 years ago from the Chicago area so we know what excellent food really means. The pizza is fantastic! We have brought lots of friends to the restaurant and they have all said the same thing about how tasty the food is because it's authentic Italian food. Not only are the Italian dishes mouth-watering, but they also offer juicy, tender steaks that are marinated in the most flavorful marinade sauce.

For dessert, my husband's favorite is homemade bread pudding with caramel sauce. I really love the homemade cheesecake with fresh strawberry topping poured over, not too sweet and the cheesecake is light and creamy. And of course, for the kids there is always ice cream drizzled with chocolate and other assorted flavors.

Check out the website, there are full screen food pictures to click on and look at. They look 3D and it shows how tasty the food looks and you get a chance to see what is being served. The food pictures are so visually appealing and tantalizing, you will want to come taste it for yourself. The website address is: thetuscankitchenpv.com

Upon recommendation of friends we tried Tuscan Kitchen. Bit hard to find as the street it is on is not a through street and required us to back track a couple of times. The chicken Marsala has a good taste through the breast was on the small size. Our server was a bit slow, first in greeting us, taking our order, and never came back until we were finished. Watching the other server we saw a real contrast - if we had had her I think our experience would have been a more positive in regards to service. Would like to see a bit more variety on the menu - veal or seafood would be a nice addition.

We kept hearing ads on the radio for this restaurant and decided to try it out. The service was good, but the food was awful, particularly for the prices charged. $9 for alfredo pasta plus an additional $4 for them to add chicken is really too much for a tasteless white sauce and a tiny bit of pasta. The $9 spaghetti with a single $2 meatball was also overpriced. The tomato sauce tasted like a mix of tomato sauce and tomato paste with nothing more than a tiny bit of garlic and way too much pepper mixed in. The bread was dry and so hard it will cut your mouth if you aren't careful and had to be choked down with sips of water. We will not be going back.
