Valley of the Light begins Thanksgiving Day and continues through Christmas Day. Donations are excepted but not required. It is a approximate 10 min. drive through. Must do the drive more then once to catch all of the Beauty and effort put into this Display. You can take the kids or just yourself in your pajamas. Highly suggest this Display for a night time activity.

Did a little exploring at the park. The views were very nice. There are some really nice trails to walk along. There is also a very nice path by the lake. If you're looking to pass a little time this place is worth checking out.

We invited the grandkids up from Gilbert and they couldn't keep their mouths closed they were so amazed. It was like a little Disneyland and don't they all love that (me, not so much).
But I love this and we go each year. It's a don't miss!

This place sure has changed over the decades. It's a nice place to bring kids. There are nice grassy spots, and lovely walks.

What people think of as Fain Park is a tiny fraction of the whole thing. The website gives you an idea of how big it is, but for most people Fain Park is not really a park but an area with access to water.
The water is the best and worst part about it- when it's flowing, it's a great place for families to relax. You can fish, walk, watch ducks teaching ducklings how to dive and paddle, and picnic far froom the madding crowd. However, when there's a water shortage, as for most of this summer, the water stagnates, smells awflul, and is a breeding ground for bugs. Now is a great time to visit Fain Park.

The Christmas light show is amazing. I have driven through it many times over the years. It is a must see when you go Prescott in December. We have gone to the park in the spring fall and summer for the kids to play and to hike around.

People of all ages are fascinated with the beautiful Christmas light displays. As you drive your car through display after display you can tell the magic of Christmas. The displays are free but as you exit there are people waiting to take your donation. They are friendly and don't demand. People from all over come to the event each year. Every year the displays are different too. Different businesses sponsor them. Anyway it's magical.
