Historic old building which is very handy for the centre of town - plenty of on street car parking to the front and a small car park to the rear.

The room was a little on the small side but very comfortable especially for only a single night stay.

Good basic help yourself breakfast.

Overall a comfortable interesting place to stay at a very reasonable price.

The hotel was built in 1917 and looks as if it held up well. The Oak woodwork and patchwork Quilts add to the feeling of being back in time. it has two floors with a Breakfast Area, Bar common rooms and a small evening coffee/Tea area on the first floor, along with a number of room. It was a European breakfast with a lot of variety. The staff is very friendly. If you request it, you could get a "haunted" room.

It is located on a quiet street, one block from the town center so it is an ideal location. We loved it (and stayed in the haunted room). We will spend more time there, this year or next

We stayed here recently in the middle of the week. I imagine it is very different on the weekend.
It had the feel of a B&B, we saw about 10 other people there, running into them during the breakfast or the hallways. The other guests were very pleasant, often chatting like guests do at a B&B. There are over 30 rooms, so I can guess on a weekend it might feel more busy and noisy, but it was quiet when we were there.

There are nice places to sit to enjoy the weather or your breakfast (front porch downstairs, upstairs, and a side area). There is coffee and sodas available 24 hours, so if I got up early I could go make a cup of coffee and drink it outside or downstairs.

Breakfast is waffles and scones (that were more like cookies) and English Muffins along with fruit and a couple of cereals. There is a coffee house next door that serves some egg dishes and bagels.

Most of the rooms are smoking rooms. Our smelled like it was fresher but whenever I walked in I thought there was a fire and realized later some previous guest(s) had been smoking in the room. I saw one no smoking room sign on one door, I am not sure if there was another one somewhere I didn't see. The hallways smelled musty but were ok to just walk through.

The location is nice, easy walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and the park area around the courtyard.

We are definitely a NON-SMOKING property. We appreciate the feedback from this guest but sorry for the confusion that they thought we have smoking rooms. We have been a smoke free hotel for over 30 years ever since the hotel was remodeled. Any guest who smokes in a room is charged $150 fee and the room is professionally cleaned. In the 2 1/2 years we have been here this has only happened once. Our rooms should absolutely not smell like smoke or fire and if they do we would hope people would let us know immediately. We do have signs on the doors stating we are a smoke-free property as well as a section in our confirmation e-mail and the information sheet everyone receives upon check-in. This explains our smoking policy as well as the penalty for choosing to ignore it. We do have a small designated smoking section outside of the building. Just to clarify the Hotel Vendome is a smoke-free property and no one should be smoking in or anywhere near the rooms. Thanks for taking the time to read our reviews.

My wife and I just spent two nights at the Vendome. It's a refurbished 1917 hotel. Room and bed very comfortable with good thermostat controlled air conditioning. Excellent location on quiet street 100 yards from Prescott's busy central square with everything within easy walking distance. Great breakfast served in the lobby area each morning with tables inside and on the first and second floor front porches. And Barbie our hostess was just the best! She takes care of everything: check-in, tour and sites consultant, breaksfast cook and server, and any other customer service need. Loved her!

We will return for another visit sometime in the future for sure.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 27. Very nice. For the adventurous book Room 16...the haunted one!

This is a 2-story bed and breakfast, built in 1917 in the historic downtown district of Prescott, Arizona. This charming hotel with an old-world look and feel is ideally located close to dinning, activities, lakes, hikes, the Courthouse Square, shopping, old wild west gunslingers rein-acting, and famous historical Whiskey Row. I have known a number of staff members that work at the Vendome and they are friendly, and welcome guests warmly and provide high quality service. Barbie makes you feel like you are home. While sitting on rocking chairs on the huge front porch, she came out with a plate full of delicious large chocolate chip cookies which she offered to us along with friendly conversation. She also creates great drinks at the bar. A bonus is the haunting sightings in Abby's room, #16 and roaming around the Hotel Vendome. I have visited the Hotel Vendome since the late 70s and although the town has changed, the hotel continues to offer the warmth of 'Grandma's house with many modern amenities.

Room Tip: If you are curious about haunting experiences, I recommend that you stay in Abby's room, #16.
