Had reservations in advance for our four night stay. We wanted to be within walking distance of downtown restaurants and bars, with access to other services and a short drive to Embry-Riddle University. The location of the hotel was perfect.

Husband, 16 yr old son and I stayed in a 2-queen suite for four nights. The room was fine: big enough, very clean. Free wireless access, refrigerator and microwave, two TVs, nice sofa-and-chair seating area. Plenty of room for all of us, although we only spent a short time in the room each evening before bed. One disadvantage of the room layout is that the bathroom area is right across from the beds and so any light on at the sink area shines right on to people trying to sleep. And, it wasn't a problem for us because son is a very heavy sleeper, but if you use the hair dryer, you are right in the bed area. All in all we were satisfied by the room.

Staff was very friendly, both at the front desk and the cleaning staff. Good suggestions for local restaurants and services. Even clued son into the fact that a girl's bball team was in the pool one night (!).

Breakfast is excellent: fresh fruit, waffles, bagels, doughnuts, cold cereal, oatmeal, juices, great coffee, tea and all the fixings for a SpringHill McMuffin (including salsa). We didn't eat breakfast out until our final day, when we took a couple of college students to a real restaurant. Through-out the day there is complimentary fruit and ice water available at the front desk. No vending, but a good selection of snacks and drinks can be purchased (and microwaved) at the front desk at all times.

In addition to the free wireless access in the rooms, there are also computers and printers available near the front desk for boarding pass print-outs.

The hotel is located right next door to a plaza including and Albertson's supermarket, Starbucks, Panda Express, Walgreen's drug store, Staples and other stores. Also within walking distance to many excellent Prescott restaurants and shops.

We had a great stay at Spring Hill Suites and will choose it again when we return to Prescott.

I booked a room at this hotel because I needed a suite.(.which I consider to be 2 rooms separated by a door) so my younger son could stay up late and watch TV, while I went to sleep a bit earlier..well there is really no separation between the sleeping and living areas. The motel was OK but if you need a true suite this is not the place.

I travel often and was appalled at the rude, crisp manner in which I was checked in. The clerk was an older blonde woman who was so abrasive and unhelpful we almost considered checking out. We had a few simple questions regarding hiking trails in the area and this employee essentially treated us like we were idiots for not being more familar with the area. That in of itself is absurd since we are obviously from out of town. Not only that our room wasn't ready by check-in and when the "housekeeping manager" was contacted on the status of our room, he was so rude over the walkie talkie system that we were appalled. He asked quite rudely if "the guest was there" and said it would be another 30 minutes. NO apology was given by the clerk and her suggestion was to go get lunch while we waited for the room, that we had requested an EARLY check in. The room was adequate once we were in it. Other than the fact the we were privy to the housekeeping staffs personal issues since they were so loud and obnoxious. The only saving grace was a young lady desk clerk the next day that took the time to print out hiking info, treat us graciously, and help with some groceries despite her arm being in a cast. Had it not been for that employee we would have found another hotel. In this economy and with those prices rudeness like that is unacceptable. We won't be returning

This was a good all around stay. No problems at all. The room was very roomy ..it was split in two by a wall with couch, comfy chair, workdesk & wet bar in one half, and King bed & bath in the other. My only issue was the small counter space around the bathroom sink..otherwise, very nicely laid out and well appointed.
And the bed was firm & comfortable... my primary reason for choosing this hotel.
I did not use the pool this time, but it did look inviting, and there was an elevator close to it so you did not have to trot thru the lobby like in some places. Breakfast was ok with a few hot items, pre made omelets & eggs, and standard mix of cereal, fruit, pastries etc. It did get crowded at one point when a group came in.
The location is easy walking distance to everything downtown.. I recommend the Irish pub restaurant about 2 blocks away..(wish I could remember the name)...It was suggested by hotel staff and did not dissapoint. A small shopping mall next door was handy with a grocery store there too.
Staff were all helpful & friendly ..
All in all a good stay.
