The service left a whole lot to be desired!!! The food is terribly overpriced and not anything to write home about for sure. It is also a rather dingy looking place.

“Great Happy hour”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Great happy hour! Really good happy hour prices on apetizers as well. Really good nachos (I get it without the pork). Great service. When its warmer, I really like to sit on their patio. Great place for drinks!

“Return to the Firehouse Kitchen”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Okay, it was New Years Eve, 2012 and, because we'd had such very good service and food at the Firehouse, we decided to make that our celebration headquarters. I've noted some really negative reviews (not overall many but some rather confusing) and wanted to again experience and evaluate and have a good time.
We've eaten at the Firehouse at least six or seven times. We've had some Holiday meals there and also just 'dropped in' at both the upstairs bar (full menu available) and the quiet and fairly eloquent downstairs dining area. Frankly we've never been disappointed.
New Years we dropped in at 7:50PM (just making Happy Hour!) and we were seated in the bar (self seated) in moments... several empty tables but the bar and the south side of the bar/live band there, were packed. Within 3 to 5 minutes we were waited on and from that moment on the experience was stellar. Our drinks were very strong (I favor a single malt on the rocks and have had experiences where the rocks overpowered the 18+yr old brand, NOT at the Kitchen) and my wife, who likes a strong Marg was very happy. We ordered the 'pulled pork' appetizer and a spinach dip with chips. Now some places a 'dip' will come out rather hard on the top, how long was it sitting? Ours came out perfectly moist, warmed to the right taste and we think the chips were made in house but in any case they were snappy, light and really good. The pork was outstanding. And to quell ANYONE who thinks the drinks were so strong we didn't know what we were eating, negative. Sipping the first round over about 30 minutes we finished off the appetizers and noted that there was not an empty seat in the place and the band was belting out some great Croce oldies along with some recent Country Western. We had at least four or five waitresses and the bartender drop by to say "Hi" and inquire if we were happy. Reviewers who say the 'service is bad', well to each his own but I just, we just have never had bad service at the Kitchen. We had one more round of drinks (total of two each now)
and then ordered the Peach Cobbler.
Now much cobbler is just peaches mixed in with a 'big cake' pan of dough covered by some sugar paste. We had other desserts and had been happy but always shied away from the Peach. Well, what an experience. The cobbler is almost like a large puffy tart filled with a creamy peach mix with 'peaches' and offered with a great vanilla/cream type ice cream. It was absolutely an experience we will repeat.
This restaurant is, so far at least, the best managed and provides the best tasting and cooked meals we've had out in Prescott, period. There are items on the menu we've not had (never had a hamburger there. We like the Office's hamburgers but that's another review) so maybe there are some duds BUT WE'VE NEVER experienced them and we cannot recommend more highly the Firehouse Kitchen in Prescott. Simply great service, food and at very reasonable prices. We paid $43 for four drinks, two large appetizers and dessert. That's a bargain! And for such food... and spirits... great!

“Great Osso Bucco Meal”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

We have been here three times and not been disappointed. The staff is very friendly. Usually we go for wine upstairs at bar and then eat downstairs in restaurant. One staff person even carried out happy hour wine down.

“Great Steak, Great Service”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

I enjoyed the friendly service and the good selection on the menu. I had calamari for appetizer and filet mignon for entree. Both were served promptly but brought out in the proper timing. The calamari came with three dipping sauces, one that looked like relish/salsa which had a delicious mustard-flavoured kick. The steak was tender and wine selection good. I was unable to have desert but observed two being served nearby which looked very nice.
