Two couples, first experience for all of us at The Rose. The gentlemen ordered prime rib with cajun spice and the ladies veal scaloppini from the 'Lighter Side', menu. The veal according to my wife, was very good. She was somewhat disappointed with the scanty serving of vegetables accompanying the meal.
The prime rib was not good. I knew that the meat had been cooked the day before and that the Cajun spiced slab would come from that cut, spiced, heated and served. Nevertheless, for a restaurant with The Rose's, reputation to serve such an inferior meal is not easily forgotten. I certainly question the wisdom of my meal selection and will therefore, give them another shot at me.
