No reservations, that said food was delicious. We took 4 people and all enjoyed their meals. Polka music was fun and entertaining. Everyone around us was having fun as were we. Service was very good. Dinners were really good and all of us belong to the clean plate club. People sitting outside with dogs and kids where having a really good time!

We got a double camp site (we were dealing with one quite large tent, and one standard sized tent) and had quite a good time. The site was level, the ground held our tent stakes without being so hard as to prove problematic getting them in. The campfire/grill was new to me (it's been ages since I went camping) but were very handy. We had 2 picnic tables, lots of space to sit outside, good shade from at least one tree, and our site was far enough from the other sites in our loop so as to provide us with a great deal of privacy. The bathroom was kept clean, no odors, a sink and metal mirror... but nothing to dry hands with. There was a potable water spigot just outside the bathroom, and a large lidded dumpster at the entrance to the loop. Everything was within easy walking distance. No showers. There were no additional fees beyond the site reservation fee and reservations were clearly marked at each site's entry, and you're quite close to the conveniences of home in Prescott. It can still get quite chilly over night in May, so be sure to bring a jacket, and whatever you'll need to keep warm while you sleep (more blankets, warmer bed clothes, whatever - I wound up in sweats, a long sleeved undershirt, and a polarfleece hat, and still had to curl up in my sleeping bag once it was completely zipped up... but once I did that, I was fine; lesson learned, I now also bring knee high super fuzzy socks and another blanket!) It also gets quite warm during the day, though there was a nice cool breeze to take the edge of the heat off. Don't forget your sun screen - you're not going to want to stay cooped up while here, but the comfortable temperatures had us forgetting to slather up (we're from Phoenix, it's too hot to be out long enough to get sun burned! ... only sort of kidding)

The lake was nice - not particularly large as far as lakes go, but decent for Arizona. People were almost constantly on the water. There was a path all the way around the lake, but it was very uneven (and certainly not paved at all). There was a small rest area at one end of the Lake - it's paved and has walkways and picnic tables, and that's where you enter the water when you bring your boats and kayaks (not sure whether the you can also enter from the rental area, we didn't bother).

I can't say how the restaurant was. When we arrived, it was just a few minutes after closing (less than 10), but they apparently use a Wet Floors style warning sign to indicate the area is no longer taking more customers (which is to say, it's quite easy to miss). No one bothered to check with us til we flagged someone down ... after 10 minutes.

Enjoyable hour or two walking around the lake. Paddle boats were a littel pricey to rent ($15/hr), so we declined, but the lake looks big enough to have some fun.

$5 Fee except on Wednesdays. We saw people camping.

They don't advertise and visitors generally only find out about the Lynx lake restaurant from the locals. It's also difficult to find since there is no sign on the road to Lynx Lake. However, it has become our personal favorite for excellent German food (and beer). This restaurant crowds up fast on Friday and Saturday nights, best to go early, around 4 pm to get a parking spot and table. To find the restaurant, follow Lynx Lake road until you see the sign for the "Store", turn left, the restaurant will be down the road a bit on the right. If you're lucky, you'll get a table with a window view of the lake, or in cooler weather, you can dine outside at the picnic table area.

Great lake for a circular hike, boating, fishing, and just people watching. You can camp here too.
The Lynx Lake café is a wonderful German-themed restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Check their website for hours of operation. Friday night there is a fish fry and Saturday nights feature German specialties although there are German dishes sprinkled through their regular menu too, including breakfast and lunch. Watch the hummingbirds or lake boaters as you dine too.
