Part of "Whiskey Row" on the historic block of buildings by the courthouse. We had a nice roast beef sandwich and enjoyed the western singers. The service was good the display of western collectibles and the story of the Earp brothers operating their card games in the saloon add to the ambience.

We did not eat here, but we did have a beer at the beautiful bar. Lovely piece of history that is worth seeing.

Prescott, the famous Prescott rodeo, "the oldest in the country" and the Palace Bar are the settings for Steve McQueen's Junior Bonner. On my books, the Palace Bar & Restaurant always gets "A" for settings: it has so much old memorabilia, it can host its own museum, complete with the second floor rooms and girls... The food is always good (our party loved the Ribeye and the Campfire Angus burger) but service never fails to disappoint: slow, inefficient, distracted and unfriendly. Drinks are also quite miserable. I still have to find a good steakhouse in Prescott. If anybody reading this knows one, please let me know! I asked the barman in the Jersey Lilly next door but he recommended Murphy's, specifying they are Irish and "they serve everything, including pasta". Just what I need: asking for steaks in an Irish place serving pasta!

We hosted a dinner party for 20 in their dining room off the main saloon and could not have been happier with the quality of the food, drinks and service! Manager Scott went out of his way to assure that everything went off perfectly! They definitely have the very best prime rib in town! We have also dined here as a couple and enjoyed the old time saloon atmosphere and excellent food. Make sure to take a few minutes to walk around and appreciate the old artifacts, movie posters from films made in Prescott, and the tin ceilings. Next time we will try one of the special dinner theater events they host monthly.

Between the old west history, and the extra added fact that this is where some of the movie Junior Bonner was filmed was just to much to give this a pass. The bar that is from the original building is fantastic, I just had to touch it! History freak that I am....

Now the food, it was rather hit and miss. We had steak and prime rib, which werent bad, but not really worth the price. The salad was super fresh and nicely prepared. They had great baked potatoes and the veggies where cooked using actual butter! The cowboy beans were rather meh.

Not the best meal, but a solid average. Now we did arrive during a very busy weekend early evening, and the joint she was a jump'n. Wait staff was flying around doing their best to keep every one happy. Even with the every table filled busyness, all of the waiters were very polite and did a great job of keeping the customers happy.
