Don't let the atmosphere fool you... The food is wonderful. The waffles and pancakes are so tasty that they can be eaten plain... but heavenly with butter and syrup. Be sure to try the butter pecan syrup. Just tried Jamie's Waffle Express in Prescott Valley and our taste buds were screaming at us all day for not going to the Waffle Iron.

Don't resonate with this restaurant, established great for local/rodeo customers. It's not the cleanest and does not lend to atmosphere old and stale. The food is standard fare--biscuits gravy, waffles, pancakes, heavy food options. They do offer buckwheat pancakes with warm syrup. The waitress was harsh never smiled and after 3 x asking for a refill on water the bus girls were on it. They were service friendly!

This place is a perennial favorite for the locals and has Prescott Rodeo memorabilia covering the walls. I ordered my breakfast with extras expecting to receive the normal serving size...only to get more food that I expected. The normal breakfast would have been enough. The server was friendly and attentive. The cook looked like a cowboy cook from a ranch chuckwagon which, since we were in Prescott for the western flavor, was great.

I would eat there again when in the area.

If you are looking for a good, basic, home-style breakfast in a wild-west décor this is a good choice. The service was very quick, and our server in particular, was a hoot. And if you are just passing through Prescott and don't want to get too far off the beaten path, this spot is right on Sheldon one of the two main drags through town.

Found this restaurant just by driving past during a road trip, and was lucky to have stopped here. The service was very friendly, prices better than expected, and the waffles were to die for. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
