The Pleasant Street Inn
Ranked #2 of 9 Prescott B&B and Inns
Reviewed September 8, 2008

My husband and I have stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn at least 7 times since it opened. It is a wonderful, quaint and quiet place to get away from the rat race of the city. The meals are fantastic, and very eye appealing. The owner, Jeanne Watkins, outdoes herself with her hospitality and breakfasts. We always stay in the Pine View Suite, which has a separate sitting room, a bedroom and a large bathroom inside the suite. We started out in one of the 2 smaller rooms, which also worked very well for us. But now, we're spoiled with the Pine View Suite. Our next choice would be the Terrace Suite, which is very spacious and has its own balcony on the side of the house. We love it there!

My friend and I stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn this April. It is wonderful! We stayed in the Prescott Room which was nice with a large private bathroom across the hall. I also had the chance to see Pine View Suite while I was there...that is where I plan on staying the next time...it has a separate living area with a fireplace. All rooms were very clean and comfy. The innkeeper, Jeanne Watkins made us feel at home. Coffee was available about 7:30am with a nice breakfast at 8:30am. The inn is within walking distance of the old town square and Whiskey Row. We also took a day trip to the Grand Canyon (about 2 -2 1/2 hours away).

We have been coming to this wonderful B&B for the past several years. We come in December for all the holiday festivites and again in July for the rodeo. We always stay in the suite on the mainfloor and enjoy the private patio in both the summer and winter. Jeanne creates a very warm friendly atmosphere and every breakfast, besides being delicious, is a wonderful time for conversation. She is a marvelous host. She makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable making sure all the guest are introduced, etc. We have met so many nice people since we began staying here and have even kept in contact with some of them.

If you a looking for a old fashioned experience, a visit to Prescott, Arizona, a walk on Mount Vernon and Pleasant Streets past all the old, stately victorian homes and a good night at the Pleasant Street Inn can't be beat. Best of all there is so much to see and do within walking distance.

One word of warning, Jeannie encourages conversation over breakfast amoung her guests so be prepared for some real stimulating, educational, laugh filled discussions that may last well into the morning. No rush here.

We have visited many B&B's around the country and this is definitely one of the best. We will be back at least twice a year for as long as we can.

This beautiful, immaculate Victorian home on a charming tree lined street exceeded our expectaions. It was the perfect place for staying in this historic town. The rooms, the breakfast and the people were a cut above and we will definitely return the next time we visit Prescott.

My wife and I stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn in Prescott in October 2004. It is a lovely restored Victorian on a quiet side street. The Inn is tastefully decorated with easy-going, contemporary touches rather than high-Victorian. It was absolutely spotless. One of the cleanest B&B's we've ever stayed at.

Since it's just a few short blocks from downtown, we walked down the hill for a look around and diner. Lots of stores to browse downtown. The food at Gurley's Cafe was excellent and the prices were reasonable.

All in all it was a great place to stay, very restful. We enjoyed it. The Innkeeper/owner was very nice and helpful. Her small dogs were a charming treat and made us feel very welcome (Don't worry, you won't hear them.).
