“Great place to learn the history of the area.”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

it was a fascinating way to learn how the early settlers lived in Arizona. There were some very enthusiastic and talkative local guides in the different buildings.

“Best Museum we have seen.”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Several pioneer homes located on several acres well furnished with antiques of the old west. Buildings include the territorial governors home, the first log home in AZ and the home of the cities most wealthy retailer. Sharlot Hall was the states first historian, who overcame extreme bigotry from territorial leaders who wanted to prevent women from holding any government office. Through her vision, many historic buildings and artifacts were preserved in this great museum.

Not a huge museum, but very interesting and well worth the trip. The volunteers were very informative, and the displays well done.

“I come back all the time”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

As I mentioned in my other review, this is one of the places you can walk to in Prescott. You will really enjoy visiting this Museum. See the coaches and the historical buildings. they have had for many years.. Since I was a kid that would be since the 60s. Enjoy the visit and take lots of pictures.. very peaceful place to visit.
