We started eating at Roy's years ago when they were just a local restaurant in Hawaii. Yes, they are now part of a major chain but the food is still wonderful. We just recently stayed at the Marriott and had dinner again at Roy's. It's been a while since we've had dinner at this location; we've often caught the happy hour appetizers instead. This time we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The Ahi appetizer was a melt-in-your-mouth treat. Everything was very good and service was terrific. However, the shining star of the night was my husband's lobster pot pie. It may sound strange but it certainly isn't the pot pie your grandmother made! The few bites I had were the highlight of the evening, although my husband wasn't too willing to share!

I prefer independent, unique restaurants so I take my hat off to the Outback group for maintaining Roy's "independent, unique" feel. We almost felt like the original Roy was going to come walking through the door. We will definitely eat at Roy's again when we stay at the JW.

“Unmistakable quality”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

Date night at Roy's after a week at the resort left us with regret. We soulfully regret having not tried Roy's sooner! The ambience, inside and out is extremely relaxing but not casual. The service is excellent. The food is absolute gastro-nirvana! We started with generously poured cocktails and then on to the lobster potstickers! A fork war ensued over the last remaining bite of sauce. We chose the Mahi-Mahi and also the filet for our entrées, both cooked to perfection. And the spicy mashed potatoes, yummy! And, of course, the made to order chocolate lava soufflé was the perfect finish to an amazing meal! Take your time to enjoy every pallet pleasing bite when you come to Roy's! We will be back, that much is certain!

“Great Happy Hour”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

Roy's has a great happy hour. Certain drinks & food for $6 each. We shared 3 appetizers and 2 drinks each & it was well worth it. We sat on the outside patio, relaxing. The staff was wonderful, right there before we needed them. A great way to sample Roy's.

“Roys is Wonderful”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Loved the ambiance and food. Staff is great. We parked and walked to the restaurant instead of valet. the grounds are beautiful so it was a nice walk (wouldn't want to do it if the weather was 115)
