Get to Roy's after 4 p.m. for Happy Hour (in time to get a table outside - there was entertainment on Friday the night we were there) and try their special martini - The Original Hawaiian Martini. Very tasty - not very alcoholic (I had two and usually that would put me on my ear . . . no problem with these though). Careful . . . we made reservations to sit outside and partake in happy hour but were told since we made reservations we couldn't have happy hour prices . . . HUH? This made no sense and since we pushed the issue they allowed us to order happy hour drinks. We totally did not get this - so if we "walked" in we could and since we were staying for dinner and planned ahead with reservations we couldn't????
Moving on, my seared scallops weren't seared - disappointing. BUT, the upside down pineapple cake was worth the wait. You have to order this when ordering dinner and it was delicious. We tried the chocolate cake that took extra time and two other desserts. All were good and served with yummy homemade ice cream.
Our Server, Eva, was very attentive and made the evening enjoyable.
