“Impressive Courtyard”

Wow! Wow! Wow! We have probably stayed at 30 different Courtyards and hands down, this is the most beautiful one. It's brand new and has an excellent gym, laundry room, bistro, and the rooms are perfect. The staff was wonderful and gave great restaurant recommendations. What sets this property apart is the firepit outside and the pool. The pool has nice outdoor furniture, was clean, and the depth of the pool is nice for adults. We spent several hours each day hanging out at the pool. We will be back for sure!

We chose Courtyard Phoenix Happy Valley based on price, proximity to where our daughter and family live and to ensure a comfortable stay during our 3 weeks in Phoenix. We loved it! The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained. We loved the walk-in shower versus a traditional bathtub shower. And the bathroom was bigger than most hotels with a lot of counter space around the sink. We were provided with a refrigerator and microwave that we used to make breakfast to keep our meal costs down. We realize that Courtyard is targeted towards the business traveler, but we loved the lobby/lounge area, the outside patio and large pool, plus the exercise room. We did eat breakfast in the restaurant on one occasion and it was a good value for the money!
There were some "inconsistencies" in the re-stocking of the coffee for the room coffee maker (wife has to have her morning coffee before she can function) but Aaron at the reception desk after 2 tries was able to get housekeeping onboard! Having an in the room coffee maker is a must when we choose a hotel!
Can't say enough about how comfortable the king size bed was! Sleep was very restful!
Since our trips to Phoenix are for long term visits with our daughter we look for a good price and great value when we come to Phoenix. Courtyard provided this! We have stayed at other hotels in Phoenix at a lower cost, and were unhappy with the facilities, staff and comfort!

Room Tip: Hotel is located far enough away from major thoroughfares (I-17) that noise is not an issue. We are...

Green Features: Courtyard definitely works at trying to save energy, etc. There are plenty of reminders in the room about how to protect the environment

Stayed here one night on the way through. Check in was odd.. It took 10 minutes to find an attendant at 2pm? Elevators are very slow, when the place is busy the wait is brutal..take the stairs. Location is good close to the interstate 17 and with plenty of restaurants and stores nearby.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and provide feedback on your experience. I sincerely apologize that there wasn't an associate readily available to check you in, I assure you that is not normal for us as we do have staff on-site 24 hours each day and take pride on the speed and friendliness of our check-in and check-out process. I'm glad that you were able to spend time exploring the surrounding area, with more than 30 restaurants less than 1 mile from the hotel at the Shops at Norterra and Happy Valley Towne Center there are plentiful dinner options for our guests. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to show you why we are consistently rated in the top 15% of all Courtyards for Arrival Experience.

Sincerely,
Martina Ward

Good location -- close to food options. Clean hotel, seemed newer. Breakfast buffet is good too for only 10$. There is a changs and an IHOP, and BW3 near by, Red Robin too. I liked the standup shower too.

We spent 5 nights at the Marriott Courtyard and enjoyed it very much. We had a suite which was very spacious and the staff were all helpful and pleasant. The hotel was clean and quiet and the breakfast was very good.

Back to this hotel again, first time was a charm, second time, just okay. The hotel property is great but this time a little league baseball team, soccer team and cheerleading team were there. Not so good, lobby was a mess with kids everywhere. The pool, forget about it. The front desk was accomodating but just not good timing for us. Noisy too being right by the pool where they played until10pm. Hotel needs to invest in some sound proofing.

Room Tip: If something is going on don't have a room by thepool too noisy to sleep.

Thank you so much for staying with us again this year when visiting Phoenix for Spring Training! March is a very busy month between visitors such as yourself here to watch their favorite team and all of the area youth sports tournaments, so I apologize that you were not able to enjoy your stay as much as you had the year before. We do have all teams sign a code of conduct at check-in alerting them to what the hotel's expecations are, so again I am sorry that the teams impacted your ability to relax and unwind at our hotel. I hope you will give us another chance again next year when you come back to root on the Mariners.

Thank you!

We spent the night and enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom and shower were clean and neat as was the room. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of both hot and cold items and the dining area was neat and well organized. There are a wide variety of restaurants nearby to include IHOP, Appleby's etc. The only drawback is this hotel is difficult to spot from Happy Valley Road,so if proceeding east on Happy Valley Road turn by the IHOP and go about two blocks and you'll see the Residence Inn and the Courtyard. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
